PCO not pcos. What now?

Hi, looking for some information if possible, after trolling the internet there's not much information on people with just PCO.

DD took 19 months unassisted and we have been trying for the last 10 months with no success (apart from a miscarriage at 6 weeks) for number two.

I had an ultrasound yesterday to confirm PCO and am awaiting for my bloods to come back- I spoke with the doctors receptionist this morning and although she said she cannot give a definite answer as they haven't been checked by a doctor she would consider everything in normal range.

I have very irregular periods, anything from 26-46 days and EWCM that just won't quit (for the last four weeks this month) I'm a bit spotty, but asides from that everything is normal.

What treatment can I expect to receive? Is chlomid on the cards or is that only for PCOS sufferers.

:)

I'm not sure, I don't know about PCO. If you have other symptoms, such as acne, is it not PCOS?

If you have constant ewcm, you might not have ovulated yet this cycle. Are they testing your progesterone levels?

Treatment depends on many factors, but I can imagine if you have trouble ovulating on your own they might try clomid. I don't know much about it though, hopefully someone else who knows more will come along.

No - constant EWCM as you may already know, OP, is a sign that many women with PCO/S suffer from - it's a side effect of the unusual hormonal balance you have. They might well put you on clomid though at least your cycles are only up to 46 days - for many women it can be much longer which is where clomid comes into its own. You could try a great book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler which whilst not for PCO women in particular teaches all about charting your cycle and understanding your fertile signs. In particular for you because the EWCM sign is confusing you could learn more about the cervix changes you go through just before ovulation and that would help you to time things a bit better.

I didn't know that about the ewcm. But I can recommend the cervix changes, I use it and it's the clearest sign for me.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in getting back!

Blabber- I just got my bloods back and they are all fine but I am progesterone deficient which might explain why I had a miscarriage (although could of been other causes) and why I have so much EWCM?

Fertility- yes my mum, although never had pco didn't have a period for a year once! I'm glad I'm having them at all! I've heard of that book but I've never bought it- although I do have others. I use fertility friend and do use cervical positioning but find that it doesn't help me too much sadly.

I'm very desperate to get something going, I'm sure you all know this feeling, and I'm convinced that they're going to fob me off :(

Not sure that now I have abnormal hormones that I will fall into the PCOS category? I have a doctors appointment for Wednesday next week to discuss her findings.
