How long before AF returns after stopping cerazette?

Hoping people who've stopped cerazette will be willing to share their wisdom!

I took my last pill 30 days ago and am still waiting for AF to arrive. I spent almost 10 years in total on the pill, the last three on cerazette, which stopped AF completely.

Me and DH are not planning to TTC just yet, but I wanted to give my body time to get back to its natural cycle after hearing about so many people struggling post-pill.

I've used OPKs (optimistic I know) to see if I've started ovulating again, but nothing so far. Have had very sore boobs but definitely not upduffed.

After doing a bit of reading it seems doctors consider it normal for it to take up to 18 months for AF to return after this particular pill, which I was a bit shocked by.

Can anyone tell me how long it took for them and reassure me that I haven't messed up my body?!

autumnstar Any news on your end today?

Still no AF here, day 28! Lower back pain (worse by night), boobs really full and still sore, nausea, bloat, hunger, slight cramps, CM, itchy belly and boobs, etc, also all still here and still BFN. :/ I am running out of patience, debating going to A&E today to have blood drawn. I know a bit extreme, but as the doc gave me meds with Agnus Castus in it, I would rather be safe than sorry.

Hi mawinter. AF is starting for me, I think. Started getting brown spotting yesterday (sorry if tmi). Day 34 so at least it's hopefully arriving now!

I think it's worth doing to put your mind at rest. You seem to have had much more in the way of symptoms than me so worth getting checked! Let me know how you get on.

Hi AutumnStar - Back finally from A&E. Urine test was negative, they did a vaginal ultrasound, the woman said she sees two things possibly happening with me. Either early pregnancy or AF will begin soon. She did note that I have a lot of CM and did a swab to see if there was an infection causing it and found nothing. They also did another urine test to recheck since I had been waiting awhile and also so they could check if I had any urinary infections and found nothing. They did a blood test and I will know the results by 8.
With regard to my back pains, I also saw someone there about that and the joint in my lower back is blocked.
I'm glad to hear AF is possibly starting for you! Keep me posted as well!

Blood results are back! BFN. They ran some other tests, as well and said I am at least fertile, so we should have no trouble to conceive once AF finally arrives, which they say is a high probability this week. So fingers crossed for both of us! Hopefully we can both get the ball rolling soon! :D

I'm still awaiting AF unleashing her full fury but hopefully we'll both be back to normal this week. Fingers crossed you get your BFP very soon!

Well, AF is definitely here. After three years without it's a bit of a shock to the system Sad. Going to go for a run to see if it helps get rid of the pain. How are you this morning ma?

I believe AF is coming. Horrid cramps, ovary pain & weakness.
Glad AF is back for you, I can only hope it follows soon for me as well. I cannot take much more of this.

Um...I think i have a BFP?
Yesterday again more cervical mucous, like really a lot. Last night my backache faded to dull pain. I had a lot of cramping and really thought AF is coming. Last night as I lay in bed i felt my CYST rupture, they noticed it on Saturdays scan and it was just under 3 centimeters. So this morning mild cramps, lots of CM, but no AF.
I felt really sick to my stomach as well and about a half hour ago I vomited (TMI).
So around 12 it was time to do my Ovulation test stick test and I dunno, had this odd feeling to POAS as well and there looks to be a faint positive?? How is this even possible with a failed urine and blood test on Saturday?
I held this stick up to various light and really there is a second line. Gonna do another test in a bit. Maybe I am hallucinating.
One thing I notice is that my ovulation stick test, the second line was some days ago pretty dark, but still a negative, now its as light as the Pregnancy tests second line.

I'm too scared to do another test. LOL!! Got a shipment notification from Amazon in the meantime while waiting for my bladder to fill up (before I got too nervous to do another test), my clearblue (with pink dye) test shipped. So I think i will wait for that. Will let you know how it turns out!

Clearblue test arrived and was BFN. I have two different internet cheapos, the one which showed a positive was from Cortez, The other one which is One Step also shows a BFN, like on the Clear Blue. Unfortunately I ran out of the ones from Cortez, but I have a feeling I really am not pregnant and got faked out by the famous indent line.
31 days now, I cannot take much more of this shit.

Oh ma, that is rubbish. Was your clearblue test a digi? Cerazette is a total bastard.

My AF was really short, not even three days, but quite...erm....brutal Blush

I do feel more normal now though and my fake pregnancy symptoms have gone. Just hope cycles go back to normal now.

It was a Clearblue PLUS. Mislabeled by the seller too, as it was advertised as FULLY Pink Dye, which I thought odd, as i only know them to make Blue Dye tests. The only thing Pink about it was the tip when weeing on it, to let you know it was working. LOL

I ordered more Cortez tests, as well a bunch of others, but now I really think AF is going to show. Legs getting very achy and tingly, stomach upset from cramps, etc. Just no sign she is there yet. :/ Still lots of CM however, which is odd since I am usually quite dry before AF.
32 days, the makers of Cerazette should really have their heads examined!!!
I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better, it gives me hope things will return to normal for me as well. I'm so very, very tired. :(
