Ttc - ?? Very early miscarriages - my body rejecting dh's genes?

I have 2 DD's - 20 and 4. Different fathers -second one with dh Had 10 week miscarriage before dd2 (with dh) Have now been ttc with dh for 2.5 years. Under the hospital. As I have very heavy painful periods, sometimes with flooding, my Consultants latest theory (following loads of investigations) is that I may be having very early miscarriages as my body is rejecting dh genes.
If this theory is correct surely I would have not had dd AFTER my miscarriage as the antibodies from the first pregnancy would have affected her? In hindsight I'm not sure my Consultant realised we had dd after a mc not first.
So, does anyone have any experience of this - immune response causing very early mc? If this theory is correct I've had about 5/6 mc without knowing I was even pregnant -the idea of which upsets me greatly - but also will affect the likelihood of us achieving another pregnancy.
If it is the case apparently some steroids or possibly IV Immunoglobulin would help.
Very confused right now!

What blood tests have they done as there should be some to explain what is happening. Have you had the level 1 and level 2 immune tests? NHS do not always do all of them but tests that check your karytypes and whether you have any DQ alpha matches?

Sometimes immune issues do occur after the first child is born. Sadly. Many clinics offer intralipids now instead of IVIG as it is cheaper, safer and does the same thing. I had 3 intralipids infusions in pregnancy, privately as NHS not recognise all the issues and treatments.

Thanks. No blood tests as yet. The Consultant wants me to see if I am actually getting pregnant or not. So lots of sex then lots of POAS! If I am then he will arrange further test/drugs ASAP. The immune test is £300 so he said to wait and see first....

Oh ok. I paid for level 1 and 2 immune tests privately in UK and they cost nearer £2,000. Is this an NHS dr you are seeing? If so they will not offer all the immune tests and may miss some of the issues perhaps.

The Dr we see does both NHS and private work. We are primarily under he NHS but can access private tests etc as needed. At the moment he said the first look test is done in St Heliers hospital, Carshalton. I got the impression they don't do it in many UK centres and that would be our closest. Maybe the tests you mentioned were further along the journey?
Anyway, for now we just have to wait and see..

Immune issues do not always show up on all these tests. Also, they are not the only one you need - what about caryotype (genetic) problems? They are as probable, you might have had a lucky combination for dd, and no more luck. I would definitely request caryotyping as well, before I experienced with prednisolone therapy. An unsuitable genetic match can be treated with IVF and pre testing the embryos.

I will try and type up all the level 1 and level 2 tests there are for you. The NHS will test some of them for certain but not everywhere even privately does level 1 and immune tests. Might be worth you looking up the immune tests info on fertility friends, a great source of wealth of knowledge there for you.
