In a lot of pain with wisdom teeth. Have been given safe anti- biotics by my dentist but she said to take pain killers too. What ones do you recommend when ttc #1

I know ibuprofen has been known to delay ov, and is obvs a no no unless totally necessary esp in early & late pg. I think paracetamol is ok, and I think aspirin is sometimes given to women in danger of miscarriage so would think that would be ok too, but probe best to ask a gp!

When i had absess a mw recommended codine based parcetemol and to see my doctor for a prescription. The doc gave me Solpadol co codomals. They were quite strong but they were the only things that helped with the pain

Zapains are alot better as they don't make you feel sick but i don't know if they are safe in pregnancy

I'd stick with paracetamol to be on the safe side. Have you tried a salt water rinse? That really helped me last time my wisdom teeth played up.

Salt water and oil of cloves. Both help for 5-10 minutes but then I'm in agony again. Going to ice my face as it's so swollen and take co-coda mol as it's stronger than paracetamol.
Thanks for all the advice.

Just paracetamol. I was told by a GP that codeine is ok if absolutely necessary and for a short time, but not ibuprofen or aspirin (unless your doctor/midwife specifically tells you to take it).
