Could Fertility Monitor be wrong about peak days?

Hi
I had a couple of peak days on 8th and 9th this month so that is when bding happened. However still no AF but also two BFN on preg tests (one done yest).
Am bfdg my 1year old but have been having periods since Jan which have been regular for the last 3-4 months. Could the monitor get the surge detection wrong and in fact I did not ovulate then on those peak days?
Last Af was on 27th July. Thanks in advance.

It will not get the surge wrong, but your body might not have ovulated after getting the surge. This happened to me once, my body got all geared up, I got a positive on the OPK, but then it just didn't ovulate.

Test again in a few days though.

Thanks blamber. How did you know that you didn't ovulate?

The only way you can tell if you ov for sure is if you're temping. Sometimes though the body prepares for ov (hence the positive LH surge) but it doesn't happen and the body then tries again a few days/weeks later.

Mind, if you don't take your temps at the same time every day (like I don't/can't due to shift working) or are up a lot in the night, they don't tell you a lot. You could get a Day 21 test at the GP to see if you're ovulating, but as you don't know exactly when you should have ovulated, you'd probably have to book at least two a couple of days apart to make sure you get an result from the right time.

I knew because I didnt get my period after two weeks and I wasn't pregnant. After this I started temping. I also check my cervical position, which changes before and after ov, so this helps as well.

When I didnt ovulate, it tried again four weeks later, so it just skipped a cycle. I was just off the pill though. It can also happen when you're stressed or ill, but itthan also happen that you have an anovulatory cycle for no reason every now and again, seems to be common.
