I hung on as long as I could, but just seen some spotting, and my ever regular AF is due tomorrow morning, so that's me out this month. I ordered a bunch of IC opks for September, though, and I'm taking control of this thing this time. Enough of this loosey goosey 'let's see what happens' shit.

I'm a bit gutted this probably means I won't be having a baby before I'm 30, but oh well!

Bloumermaid · 26/08/2013 22:36

Sorry to hear that Wispa. Flowers I do think opks are the way to go, they've certainly brought some sanity to me in my crazy neverending cycle.

Don't worry about the age thing, I'm 33 (1st time ttc) and I'm sure there are lots of other 30-somethings on this bus!

m33r glad to hear you're feeling better! Smile xx

m33r · 27/08/2013 05:13

Wispa. So gutted for you (and sorry not to reply sooner; missed this post during the day) but I think you're right to move to opks. They gave me a sense of being back in control which really helps.

I'm now on cd 39 (aware it's only 5am) and hoping that my cycle hasn't gone up by another day as has happened every other month and that I'm actually pregnant this time. That would need to mean that the morrisons hpt on sat was false neg. which still seems unlikely.

Lying awake not helping and probably going to be disappointed but you never know...

Again wispa, hang in there! I have everythin crossed for you next month!

m33r · 27/08/2013 05:16

Stupid unrelated question: anyone know how to get 'bold' on an I-phone? Sorry very stupid and trivial question!

ScienceGeekGirl · 27/08/2013 06:41

To get bold you use * around the word. Hope that helps

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/08/2013 07:14

Congratulations to all those with BFP's!! And commiderations to those got by AF. There seems to have been a LOT of sucess on the August bus! I fear i am heading over to september though. AF due on 30th and had decided i was going to try to hold off testing til then. I say due on the 30th, it will only be my 3rd since coming off depo provera so hard to know but if it is the same as my last cycle - a mere 25 days, then that when shes due.

However, just been too loo and pale pinky 'wipe' so maybe shes coming even earlier. Achey hips too. Boo.

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/08/2013 07:17

Does anyone find they are veering between obsessed and not? I think i'm lucky in that thismonth at least i have kind of 'forgotten' about it since my fertile week but now af is due in a few days i'm back to bordering on crazy......

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 07:43

Af got me and I'm gutted.

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/08/2013 07:53

Ah sorry to hear that VJONES - onwards to next month! I think i will be joining you on the september bus the way i am feeling today although will be slightly worried if af puts in an appearance today as it will mean a 22 day cycle!

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 07:53

I'm very worried as I only ov seven days ago...

Writerwannabe83 · 27/08/2013 07:59

Is it definitely your period VJ and not some implantation bleeding?

Fingers crossed for a BFP m33r x

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 08:05

Implantation bleeding is very light, isn't it?

Writerwannabe83 · 27/08/2013 08:08

I think so, I don't know for sure though.

m33r · 27/08/2013 08:11

Vjones. I think so too... Are you light? How do you know you ov-d? Is the cycle 1 for you and if so, what contraception did you come off?

Madasabox · 27/08/2013 08:12

bfp here - did the test last week and then a digital again yesterday to make sure. This is DC3!

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/08/2013 08:12

Did you use opk's to tell when you ov'd? From what i have read they seem to be quite unreliable or difficult to decipher.

I am going to try not to worry too much easier said than done about a very short cycle as i suppose it will take a while to settle down. Are you recently off some sort of contraception?

Trying to find a positive for you VJ - now af is here you get a crack at next month sooner than you would have thought.

m33r · 27/08/2013 08:12

Thanks writer. I'm going to try not to test today in case it just another day on my cycle but really getting my hopes up!

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 08:13

Nit very light, no. Came off the pill about three weeks ago and think I ovulated because I had ewcm and three days of positive opks.

m33r · 27/08/2013 08:14

Congrats Masada!! Any symptoms to share?

Join the May thread; been reading this morning in my state if insomnia and they seem lovely

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/08/2013 08:14

Ooh congrats madasabox !!!! And also fx for you m33r

If my af comes early i guess it takes away the shall i shan't i? When it comes to testing early.

m33r · 27/08/2013 08:17

Vjones. Not great at deciphering EWCM but like the opks. This was prib just your body evening out and as Notta says, now you can get going for next month much quicker.

Not easy i know but keep upbeat!

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/08/2013 08:18

Vjones if its any consolation at all (i know its probably not) at least you have got af back to normal ish really quickly after stopping contraception. I was on the depo jab and it took 7 months before any af turned up!! And i read a thread recently of someone who came of the pill and had also been waiting months.

I had never been so pleased to get af when mine arrived after 7 months.

m33r · 27/08/2013 08:19

Notta. When did you come off the pill?

Writerwannabe83 · 27/08/2013 08:19

Congratulations Madasabox!! Flowers

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 08:24

Yes, am pleased it seems to be running semi smoothly. Just feeling sown because we dtd nearly every day all month but it wasn't good enough :(
