Ttc after an early miscarriage, any advice appreciated

hi everyone, my husband and I were delighted we'd conceived baby #3 3 months after having my mirena removed. Unfortunately I miscarried at around 6 weeks, my bleeding started on 6th July and ended on 15th July, my hcg levels never got above 143 so they left my system pretty quick, by the 18th I was having bfn at the drs. I wondered when should I expect my AF? before the mc I was always 28 days bang on! I have had no symptoms for AF, although I have had really bad heartburn for 4 days, this was my first symptom last time too, so could I be pregnant? I'm useless at working out dates and cycles and ovulation etc..... we bd'd on 15th July and have been pretty consistently b'ding every other night since then with the exception of a couple of days. when should a test show bfp given all these dates? thanks for taking the time to read, hope someone has some advice for me x

Think AF has hit. I had another discharge today which was dark red, a couple of times when I wiped. I guess its starting off light. I normally come on first thing in the am and heavy for a few days but as this is first one since mc I dont expect it to be normal. But its bang on 28 days since I first started bleeding so at least its back to a relatively normal cycle. Im so so gutted.

Hi Ladies, been off the radar for a few days as hubby refused to pay £6 per day for wifi in our caravan in Devon. Tight arse. Had an amazing time away and DD really loved first trip to the seaside. Going back to work tomorrow though booooooo!!!

Aww, Leon's, its only cycle 1, cycle 2 was the lucky one for me when all was "back to normal". Chin up chick.

Not told a soul about our news. Which is a first for me. We're going to try and not tell anyone until 12 week scan. We had a 7 week scan last time & saw heartbeat, whilst I was still wary as I was bleeding hubby told EVERYONE. I just don't want to tempt fate. I'm also taking a different brand of folic acid this time, I'm not usually superstitious but something just made me uneasy taking the cheap Sainsburys supplements this time. Although, weirdly & unexpectedly, dare I say it, but I have a good feeling about this time. Feel completely different to how I felt last time. Hard to explain.

At the moment im gonna say bfp due 26th, but may have to revise that depending when I ovulate.

hey MrsRV, I've missed you :D glad you had a fab time away though and happy to hear you're feeling good!

I have something called Trigeminal Neuralgia, its neuropathic pain in the left side of my face caused by pressure on the trigeminal nerve :( there's no cure and according to the drs, even painkillers don't work. I have to see a neurologist and have scans to check what is causing the pressure, scary stuff! it often ends in surgery under the skull to sort out the pressure! shitting myself! tonight, the bottom part of my head is throbbing on the left, the left side of my face is tingling and burning, and my forehead is stinging! I have a bulging vein on my forehead which appeared yesterday and is really sore to touch, called the drs today but they had no appointments, have to ring back tmrw at 7am.

my AF is due on 13th, hoping it doesn't come but I'm not feeling pregnant, had no sign whatsoever of ewcm this cycle, I ovulated on 2nd of sept which is pretty late for me, think it works out as CD17 of a 28 day cycle.

I got another flashing today on my opk this morning. Didn't get round to dtd last night, so defo getting on it tonight

I'm going to do a little list that we can update with when bfps due so we know when to expect that all important poas news!

I've had a guess at everyones based on posts and what I can remember so just update / let me know if I've got it wrong - I probably have!

Positive - have you poas yet or has af got you? Or have I just got your dates wrong? keeping my fx for you and hope you're ok if the witch did make an appearance.

I have an appointment at 9.35am!

I tested this morning just to see if I got a + and the dr wanted to give me meds...it's still too early though isn't it? although I am 3 days before AF I'm not 10dpo until the day before my AF due :/

MrsA it could still be too early yeah, but could you tell the dr you are ttc and ask for a blood test to check - am I right in thinking that would pick up pregnancy earlier than a stick? Good luck to today, hope they can do something for you.

How did your appointment go MrsA? Did Dr say anything about TTC at the same time as having this thing?

I don't feel pregnant today... I feel like my symptoms have gone... Sore boobs, weeing all the time - just gone!?! Worrying now its going to be like this now isn't it?? Up & down I guess.

Try not to worry MrsRV ... easier said than done I know coz pretty sure I'm going to be the same. Are you able to get an early scan at say 7 wks to maybe put your mind at rest after last time? I'm sure its normal for symptoms to come and go though.

Not sure, will ask at Drs, holding off making the appointment. Not sure why!?!

OMG has anyone tasted salted caramel carte d'or ice cream????? ACTUAL AMAZING. I feel like this will help with all of our worries & woes and off days. It might even numb your head MrsA if you eat enough????

saw the dr today who has given me codeine for the pain and antibiotics for persistent cysts which I've had problems with for a few months, filling up, going away, then filling up again! codeine isn't touching the pain but because I'm ttc and too eary to test they are understandably reluctant to give me anything else. I have an app tmrw to have bloods taken to test for diabetes as I'm exhausted all the time. dr also said it could be trigeminal neuralgia OR the start of shingles, I also have swollen lymph nodes in my throat (left side) and my ears and throat seem slightly inflamed. her actual words were "you've come here with very strange symptoms, nothing seems to link to the other..." reassuring huh!! so it seems I'm on another waiting game! AF and diagnosis :/

Started our dtd tonight for this cycle, only had flashing smiley this morning, but had quite a bit of ewcm earlier so hoping we have the timing right. Is it wrong to be excited by the content of ones knickers!!! [grins]

I'm feeling quite optimistic for this cycle at the moment ... remind me of that in a week or two.

I'm in the limbo stage no AF was due the 9th if 31 day cycle like last month .... So 2 days late no signs poas today and bfn depressed just want AF to hurry up if its coming !

Leons I am so sorry. I didn't realise it was your first AF after mc. My first AF was like that too...brown stuff. I too got very excited and soon learned that it was AF. I have tried to think of the positives though. It was light, short and not painful so I guess I am lucky really.

I am currently in the DTD week although we were both so tired last night so we missed out. Hopefully things will hot up towards the end of the week! AF due 28th September. On the small chance there is a +ve result you might not hear from me for a few months

Mrs RV I think for most of us the next time won't be all that enjoyable...at least until the 3 months scan. I remember not feeling pregnant at all with my first. I literally had no symptoms at all for months on end.

MrsA you are going through the mill a bit hey!? Hope your little one is giving you lots of hugs. I struggle to get any affection from my DD (almost 3).

Hi Greeneone, I'm in dtd week too! Started last night! Thinking will dtd every other day until fixed smiley then everyday until temp rise ... not that I've thought about this or anything!

Although feel myself worrying that we're still going to miss it because OPKs give the wrong result or something, but the sensible side of me says every other day is fine anyway! I think its just that I sooooo want to get a bfp this month.

hey ladies, so for all you who have had a virus, I haven't....these are new sumptoms today; left side of my face is very sore to touch and the left side of my tongue is numb?!! Could this still be a virus?

like I've probably said before, I don't feel pregnant this month :( although feeling VERY nauseous the past few days, could be the codeine though :/ breasts aren't sore, no discharge or anything :( can't tell of I have cramp cos my whole body (left side) feels like it's been put through a wringer! can't wait to start feeling better! I've had 5 one hour naps today....that's not bloody normal! and I'm still sitting here struggling to keep my eyes open :(

Every other day seems sensible to me :) we are going for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday! Not that DP knows that yet! Going in lightly the first month of TTC! Both pregnancies before hand weren't planned as such so actually trying is new to us

We did every other day from when AF stopped until a few days before the BFP - worked for us! I think we may have done every night on a couple of occasions. Mrs A I didn't have any snail trails either!

MrsA I'm hoping that your symptoms are part prego symptoms & that's why Dr couldn't pin down any one explanation. It was this time last week I got my BFP after Sainsburys run!!

My sore boobs are back. Feeling ok again! Worked out that 12 week scan will fall the week of my birthday. Hubby & I have a couple of days off that week too, so hoping it all works out well. Determined not to tell anyone until then.

Just eaten another bowl of salted caramel ice-cream. 1/2 a tub gone & it only arrived in the shopping yesterday!

Every other night seems like tough going to me

Good news here this morning. I got my fixed smiley on the opk and also have lost 1.4lbs since last week. Still got another 3-4 to go but hopefully should almost be there by the time my bfp / af is due this month.

Gonna try to dtd every night now till i get my temp rise. Hope doesn't take too long!

I have never done temping. Why does temperature go up after fertile period?
