Hiya. I'm a bit hopeless with this kinda stuff as regulars on here probably know, and I'm a worrier too. I was hoping you could humour me and give me some ideas of what is going on here. Thanks in advance! Flowers

So. I started tracking my temp a couple of days before ovulation (I know I should've started at the beginning of my cycle, but I forgot, and figured better late than never). It looked like a textbook curve at first: dropped down by 0.2'C on the day off ovulation (as per ov tests and my own obs), and then was up by 0.4'C the next day. So far so good. It then went down by 0.1'C for the two days after - which I'm not worried about; I figured that was such a slight change it wasn't worth thinking about. But then today, my temp was up again by another 0.3'C to the highest it's been yet. I thought it wasn't supposed to rise again?? I was expecting it to stay the same until either period/BFP. Am I missing something? Does anyone know what's going on?

Also, Blush , my CM - whilst thick and lotion-like like it usually is after ovulation - smells really sweet (and tastes it according to DP Blush Blush Blush , which is usually only does when I'm fertile. My cervix is low according to DP - haven't checked it myself yet, but it was still very soft when I checked it yesterday, and pretty open too. So, is it possible that I've ovulated AGAIN?

Confused Hmm . Hoping not to get AF (due 7th Aug), so kinda worried/curious/hopeful. Please help!

Off the top of my head I can think of three reasons for the pattern your temps have shown thus far. There are probably even more possibilities than that. You can't confirm any of them and what you really need to do is chart your whole cycle and over a couple of months to start finding out what is true for you. Smile

Hey,

That doesn't sound like there is anything to worry about. They can go up and down and ive read you shouldn't really pay attention to individual temperatures. What you're looking forward is an overall pattern. So you're temperatures prior to ovulation should be lower than your temperatures after ovulation. That's why charting your temperatures on something like fertility friend is good so you can see the overall pattern of temperatures. Individual temperatures can go up slightly up and down dependant on various factors hence why you look at the overall pattern. Hope that helps and good luck!
