EWCM question - maybe TMI

Just a quick question.
I'm a bit confused.
I had CM on CD 10 and 11 (I think EW), but had it again on CD 17 and 18 (again thick and clear/white ish).
Last month was a 27 day cycle but my cycles are all over the place so not sure about this one. Now on CD 21.
Haven't noticed the CM being so bad twice in a month before. Is that normal?
Maybe my idea of EWCM is not right and I've just had a lot of CM this month.

Sorry if TMI but I had to ask Blush.

I'va had it twice this month and I'm not sure why either. Just the wonderful way our bodies work I guess!

Think you've just had a lot of cervical mucus this month.

Has the cause of the irregular cycles been ascertained?. I ask this as such problems are often caused by hormonal imbalances.

This probably sounds silly but how do I find out if I have hormone imbalances?

Thanks

3catstoo, have you ever had irregular periods before? It might be worth checking your hormonal levels through blood exams.

In this regard the level of luteinising hormone (LH) should be compared against that of your follicle stimulation hormone (FSH).

LH and FSH are two crucial hormones when it comes to ovulation and play a large part in the whole process. If these two hormones are out of balance then ovulation can become affected. In this regard polycystic ovaries (PCO) or its related syndrome PCOS are common culprits.

Are the symtoms for those similar to those of endometriosis?

My gyny thinks I may have that. I have a scan on Thursday and then have to wait for a laperoscopy.

He didn't mention anything else though.

I already have 3 children so could I still have PCOS or related syndrome even after having children.

Forgive my questions, I am not so clued up on these things. It is only in the last month that I decided to see the GP and Gyny re my cycle and related issues (irregular bleeding before period, pain with no period and painful intercourse sometimes not every time).
