The July BFP bus PART 2 - All aboard the lucky magical number 7

The first bus is almost full up so lets all transfer on to this new shiny bus!!

The sun is out, the sky is blue, the birds are singing their songs... Now lets get some BFPs!

Yeah pretty normal! Although its good because I only work on average 3 days a week

I'll probably take maternity... Go back for a few months and then hand in my notice! I'm quite lucky as DH earns a very good salary and we could afford for me to take a break from work!

Also, my company would probably let me go part time/change my hours totally if I asked as they're quite flexible so... Just gonna wait and see what happens really!

I won't be POAS'ing for a while yet maybe around the 25th (you're welcome to change that on the next list Gilly ).
I'm still not entirely sure I've ovulated. Have had some mixed CM and darker second lines on the ov sticks but no pains and boob tingles have completely disappeared. I think I might be kidding myself that after finally getting AF last month things might go back to some kind of normal. I could be waiting another 3 months for all I know I'm feeling a bit despondent.. I'm sorry you're having a grumpy day too FoxMulder

I have told my closest friends and family (my side only) that we are TTC. I figured that if things were going badly I would need the support. Also there are events occurring next year so I wanted to give people a heads up.
So far people haven't asked or started any conversations about it other than my mum. My mum did spend a couple of months telling me how all the women in our family are super-fertile . At a time when I was waiting for AF turn up and imagining PCOS, Pituitary Gland tumors, unexplained secondary infertility and generally driving myself mad googling every possible problem.

Think af is on way. So I'm gonna shift on over to the August bus. Good luck to those still to test

Oh, I would seriously consider taking the 12 hours shifts if I could do a 3 day week!

My DH sadly does not earn a good salary. He's well qualified and experienced, but it's this part of the country. No-one gets paid well this far north. He couldn't pay the bills on his own, so I'll have to keep working. But we could probably scrape by on maternity pay + his wage.

I'm not sure if I could do part time. I could definitely do all my work in fewer hours (as evidenced by my presence on MN ) but a lot of the job is abut me just being here to deal with stuff.

I generally like to plan everything but there's nothing I can plan in regards to ttc as we don't know when it will actually happen!

I feel rough this morning, bit of an upset tummy, but still in the realms of "normal" and I feel lie I'm going to vom. But it's too early to be a symptom yet I think, still got another week to wait to AF. Why do I have to get sick in 2ww... It can't be helpful! Plus DS is being very whiney this morning when all I want to do is sleep.

Yep, not much option on that one! It's a bit boring.

According to fertilityfriend I ov'd 9th July (DTD 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th, just to be certain ) AF due 23rd July.

I was hoping you could give me some info re: your ovulation dates.
I bought a thermometer last month, but I'm a prolific snoozer, and kept forgetting to take my temp.
So this month I guessed when I was ovulating by CM and ovulation pains.

To those ladies who use ovulation predictors, do you find that you've ovulated on the days you would expect - eg on the days with EWCM and ov pains? Or have you found that if you hadn't been using ov predictors that you would have misjudged when you were ovulating?

My period is due on Wednesday, and based on my EWCM and Ov pains I think i'm between 12-10dpo. BFN this morning and I can't help but be downhearted, feel like even though I might be testing pretty early the more BFN's I get the less likely I will be in getting a BFP.

I've been reading this today:
"Cervical Position
The position and texture of your cervix will change during your cycle:

During menstrual bleeding, the cervix is normally low and hard and slightly open to allow the blood to flow out. It feels like the tip of your nose.
After your period stops, the cervix remains low and hard and the opening to the uterus (uterine os) remains closed.
As you approach ovulation, the cervix rises up to the top of the vagina and becomes softer and moister.
At the height of ovulation, the cervix feels more like your lips than your nose and the uterine os is open to allow sperm to enter in. Sometimes the cervix seems to disappear ? which just means it has become so soft that it blends in with the vagina walls and rises so high that the finger cannot touch it. This is known as SHOW - soft, high, open and wet. This is your most fertile time and is the optimal time to have sex to achieve pregnancy.
Once ovulation occurs, the cervix drops lower and becomes more firm - once again feeling like the tip of your nose. The opening to the uterus will become tightly closed. This can happen immediately after ovulation or may take several hours to several days.
When pregnancy occurs, the cervix will rise up and become soft, yet the os will remain tightly closed. This occurs at different times for different women ? as early as 12 days after ovulation or well after the pregnancy has been confirmed by a home pregnancy test or doctor"

Foxmulder, don't think it's a good idea to strike people off the list a week after their date. When you have irregular cycles you can only estimate your date. In my case I thought I ovulated but since AF is absent and have been getting bfns I'm not sure what has happened.

Cervical position I have found really helpful. It's a clear sign Ov is on the way. nothing weird about doing it, it's just like inserting a tampon only you're feeling the cervix.

Oh ok, fair enough - I hadn't thought of that.

No nothing weird about it, I just personally don't fancy it. I wouldn't like to insert a non-applicator tampon either.

Hello everyone. I'm 6 dpo today and my temp has dropped down just below my cover line....so not sure if this is a good thing or not. Guess I will find out in a week! Or see if my temp ges up again tomorrow. I think it did this last month too and I got a bfn so I'm not feeling very hopeful. sigh

Lets hope so! But it might be a bit early at 6 dpo? Well i will see if my temp rises again. I had the same thing happens last month so not getting my hopes up!

AF has just started. Feel a bit crap but at least I know now that this wasn't our month.fingers crossed for August
