I have just found this place and thought it might be a good place to ask my question.

If your easily offended by people giving too much info dont read on as I dont want to offend anyone.

Basically I want to know what it could mean as this morning I went to the loo and when I wiped there was a dark brown sort of mucus on the paper. I do have Poly Cystic Ovaries so I only have 2 periods on average a year so I know its classed as old blood but this has never happened before.

Could this mean Im pregnant?
What do you think?

I am trying to get pregnant and I dont know if I getting ahed of myself here. Like I said its never happened before.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

hi and welcome :)

if you're having unprotected sex then it's always possible to get pregnant, there's only one way to find out though, get a test, good luck :)

beansontoast · 31/05/2006 06:51

no idea...but good luck x

Natty1806 · 31/05/2006 08:03

Hi

I normally get a pink/brownish mucus a few days before my period.

Not sure if this is the same as what you have.

Like the others same, do a test - good luck

trace2 · 31/05/2006 09:32

no idea, but welcome, and good luck if you test!

Angsthase · 31/05/2006 11:12

Could it be an inplantation bleed? - although I think that would be redder. Best to do a test that way you'll know Smile

Good luck Smile

Don't wait for a test off the internet - get to the shops, buy one, then post your results on here, now, now, now Grin

Hi all, Don't mean to hijack but felt a bit silly starting a totally new thread for a probably simple question.
Newish to the TTC effort and have started charting. I've read up lots of info on this site but am a little confused still.....
Could someone tell me what the "coverline" is, how do I know which temp is coverline?
I'm on CD8 at the moment and temp is going
CD4 36.3
36.6
36.3
36.1
36.1
Second question please....does a night out (read muchos alcohol) have an effect on temp generally and if so, in what direction.
Thanks in anticipation all,
JA

Janeausten,

When I have charted I have only established my coverline in retrospect i.e. after I have had 3 days of consecutive high temperatures. By the looks of your temperatures they seem to be quite stable and low so far, so fingers crossed when you get a raise it will be clear to you.

As to alcohol - I ignore the temperatures after a boozy night because they are always significantly higher than the norm.

There used to be a thread around for people charting using their temps - if you look down the page you should come across it, because it was only over the last month or two.

Good luck.

Janeaustin
Roubles is right you can only establish a cover line when you have really charted for a full month you can then see where your average temp is. I'm taking a month of temping this month but may be back next month.
Again I echo ignoring any high temps you may get from alcohol but make a note of this date on your chartjust in case it coincides
the temp thread is\link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1366&threadid=159175&stamp=060518191408\temps here}
I also use this site alot as it is good for temping and other indicators of fertile times
\link{http://www.fertilityuk.or\here} go to the indicators section in planning pregnacy

janeausten · 31/05/2006 15:19

Thanks for that Rubles
I did read the "joining me temping" thread which I think is the one you mean but to be honest that was where I first heard of the term coverline and I still don't know what it really means, is it a minimum or the highest of pre-ovn temps or what (random guessing on my part at the moment)
Thks again
JA

the website I posted states this in the setion on avoiding pregancy
A horizontal coverline is drawn over all the low phase temperatures excluding temperature recordings on the first four days of the cycle, and any disturbances.

There must be a minimum of six low temperatures.

The three high temperatures must all be above the coverline.

At least one on the three high temperature should be a minimum of 0.2 deg.C

The post-ovulatory infertile phase commences after the third undisturbed high temperature has been recorded. - ie that ovulation has occured and your fertile time is over.
