Ive been taking b6 for 2/3 wks now but I've just been reading on another thread that it can cause mcg? I'm not pg but I'm in my 2 wk wait.

So should I be worried about this and stop taking it?

It's only bad if you take far too much. The recommended amount is 100mg, I noticed on another thread that the supplements Asda do are only 10mg.

First thing is to check what strength your supplements are and also consider how much B6 you are getting from your diet (a lot of cereals are fortified these days)

This might help put your mind at rest

It's 50mg im taking just now, so the higher the intake the higher the risk?

Honestly I'm not sure and you are probably better speaking to an expert or your Dr about it but a lot of women take vit b when TTC to increase the luteal phase (I saw a thread yesterday about it) I suppose once you conceive you should stop taking it.

Sorry I can't be more help but didn't want to leave you with no reply

Oops didn't mean to post that on it's own

Thought you might find more help at this thread.

Thanks Disney, I think I will stop taking them just now before anything does happen. I just don't want to end up making the wrong decision.

You could always speak to a pharmacist, they might be able to give you more advice. Or at your local family planning clinic

Think pharmacist would be a good idea, I will do that. Will keep you posted. Thanks.
