Do you only get one go with IVF or assisted conception on the NHS?

I'm just wondering hypothetically, if you're eligible for IVF or assisted conception and you are lucky enough to be successful and manage to have a baby, would they ever give you another go to have a second child or would you have to fund that yourself?

Every PCT is different but I'm not aware of any that offer a second go of IVF if you've the funded a first, successful go.

Sorry...meant if they've funded the first succesful go. Very few will offer much/any treatment for secondary infertility. Most won't even offer treaent if one of the couple has a child from a previous relationship. (Regardless of the cause of infertility.)

My area will not fund anything once you have had one child - IVF/fertility treatment or naturally. Asked gp who confirmed the rules.
