Well I am dusting down the drivers seat and kick starting the April bus for those the BFP fairy missed on the lucky Mad March bus. Fingers crossed the destination for this one is 'Baby Central'.

OP posts:
Wardy17 · 26/03/2013 11:37

I'll try choc, just for you! I don't want to be told off again lol xx

weechops · 26/03/2013 12:22

I hate the 2ww! I get totally obsessed with symptoms even though I swear I won't every time. Gah! 4dpo and my phantom symptom of the day is sore boobs. I know, I know it's too early for anything :)

PistachioTruffle · 26/03/2013 18:07

Thanks for the vibes choco, I need all that I can get!! A Christmas baby would be really lovely!

MRs, ooh that's a tough one! Good luck with your application, is it a job you really want? Fertility friend has changed it's mind and told me AF is due on the 5th, so I might be naughty and test on the 4th. I hate having long cycles, if I had a 28 day cycle (as I used to before taking the pill etc, grrrr) I could test tomorrow, unfortunately not though!

Wardy, step away from the pee sticks! Grin

Wardy17 · 26/03/2013 18:16

pistachio I will its just soooo hard!!! And because DH leaves for work before me in the mornings it's so easy to be sneaky!!!

marie456 · 26/03/2013 18:59

Updated list again as realised my stats are wrong. I ovulated earlier this month than I was expecting so with my short luteal phase I'm due 31st March/1st April. Dont want to get back on the March bus at this late stage, so I'll stay here if that's ok?! Plus if it's a BFN then my next AF will still be due at end of April! Going to poas saturday morning I think!

wanabemum there is no way to distract yourself!!!

MrsAVB glad your arm pit pain has gone! Grin

dutchy EBay great for cheap OPKs. About 20 for a few quid.

Bajas · 26/03/2013 19:01

Reckon I'll poas around the 10th. Find the hope kills me if I try too early with crazy cycles so will try to hold out until then.

Had really vivid dream that I'd had a baby last night. Am hoping that's a sign!

ELA88 · 26/03/2013 20:03

bajas I'm always having vivid baby dreams! The other night I had such a vivid pregnancy dream that when I woke up I was sure I'd poas in the night! I came home from work today to a Next baby catalogue so had a rant at the post! Another cruel reminder of no BFP!! Only 2 more days left at work though Grin xx

WanabeMum · 26/03/2013 20:33

Hi everyone! I have no idea when AF is due so not sure when to poas Confused thanks to the lovely mirena coil I had no periods! Had it removed on 14th march so only just 2 weeks of dtd! Will have to wait until AF so I can time it next month.
Sounds like we have more symptom spotting going on, which is a lovely distraction for me (I know it's not really possible but I must try! )Smile
I have very sore boobs today and some twinges so thinking my hormones are all over the place Sad

Penny31 · 26/03/2013 20:42

Dp wasn't keen on a Xmas/new year baby but I've convinced him it doesn't matter when we have a baby as long as we try to get one! He wants to take vitamins like me, he is into this as much as I am now! Yey :) only cd3 for me but still I'm excited to get going again lol

Penny31 · 26/03/2013 20:42

Oooooh I wonder who will be our first BFP! Good luck everyone :)

gillywillywoo · 26/03/2013 20:50

Haha penny it's nice when the men get into it too Smile
My DH was saying today he wants to buy a new car... Then he said "actually I want a baby first... Car can wait"... I was so happy cos it was actually the first time he mentioned having and wanting a baby without me talking about it first!
He's on the multivitamins too Smile

Cd2 for me and I'm excited too.. Let's see what this month brings! It's Easter after all.. New life! New beginnings! Wink

WanabeMum · 26/03/2013 20:56

Aw gilly that's so nice, really important for dh to be on board and supportive! Makes a huge difference to me when I have my mad moments Blush

Lets hope Easter is a good time for all of us! Smile good luck everyone.

Anyone give me an idea of when I should poas? I'm kind of hopeful but don't want to waste tests. Never get sore boobs, ever, so my imagination mind is getting the better of me!

chocoloulou33 · 26/03/2013 21:21

Lol wardy I was meant to say 'I try not to do it as much' not telling u not too haha. Sorry hun. U test as often as u like hun how r we all this evening? I'm v happy as just had dd parents evening & she is doing so well I am so proud Grin
We need to get the first bfp on that list. Looks so sad as a big fat zero! I'll be testing sat & am soooo scared. Don't wanna go onto cycle 8. Want it to be this month sooo bad x

Penny31 · 26/03/2013 21:40

Wanabemum when is AF due?

Good luck choc!

Gilly what vits does DH take?

WanabeMum · 26/03/2013 21:46

I have no idea penny Sad haven't had a period for 6 months plus as I had the coil fitted. Coil removed 14th but we've had loads of dtd before and since so I'm not sure. In hindsight I should have waited for AF before TTC Sad

marie456 · 26/03/2013 21:47

When did.you ovulate wanabe?

Good news about the parents evening choc Grin ! I'm going to poas Saturday aswell! Really want this month too, as don't want due date to go to 2014!.
Another friend announced she was pregnant yesterday and I've since been getting messages from other friends telling me the pressures on me now, I'm the only one! They don't mean anything by it and don't realise how insane I'm going trying to get pregnant but it is depressing literally the only one in my group of friends who doesn't either already have children or is currently pregnant! [Sad] Stressssss!

WanabeMum · 26/03/2013 21:53

Aw Marie that's horrible! I'm sure it will happen for you soon. Thought it was never going to happen when ttc#1 but got bfp 10 months later Smile beautiful dd so worth the wait!
I think I ovulated around 12/13th as I get some pain usually. Not really sure though. Blush

Penny31 · 26/03/2013 21:56

Wanabemum I have no experience with the coil I'm afraid. Do you get AF symptoms like sore boobs, bloating cramps? If you do an know roughly around what date then you could use that as a benchmark for testing.

Maybe give it 4 weeks from having coil removed and start testing then if AF hasn't arrived.

Get some cheap opk's and pg tests from amazon. You can get batches of 20 :) then start poas to see if you can detect who you ovulate.

Someone else who has had a coil will be able to help better.....

Penny31 · 26/03/2013 21:57

If you ovulated around the 13th then you could perhaps test at the weekend....that's what I would do

WanabeMum · 26/03/2013 21:59

Thanks penny. I get some twinges normally but never sore boobs. I'm thinking my hormones may just be returning to normal and maybe That accounts for the "symptoms"

Four weeks after removal is a good place to start though, so that would mean I could test on 15th April. Watch this space!

Penny31 · 26/03/2013 22:00

Marie I understand your stress! A lot of my friends have completed their families and I haven't even started yet! There are 3 of us left with no kids and we are all now TTC. A bit tricky really because although I will be happy for their BFPs I will also be sad on the inside and vice versa. Who knew TTC would be this bloomin complicated!

Penny31 · 26/03/2013 22:02

If you can hold out that long wanabe ;) I would definitely invest in cheap tests from amazon. Once I poas I couldn't stop! I found it addictive so know I had a stash of 20 was good! Have enough left for my obsession in April thankfully. Grin

MrsAVB · 26/03/2013 22:17

Evening all!
I was waiting for a train this morning and a couple were talking about when to start ttc. She was saying how important it had been to her to have friends living really close and of a close age when she was growing up and saying that she wanted to wait til a) she lived somewhere where she had close friends living near and b) those friends wanted to ttc too!
All very ideal I know, but it really struck me how having a baby isn't guaranteed - you can spend so much time planning the the "right" time, and doing all the stuff that you much more organised ladies than me do with vitamins, opks etc. life will go on and I'm going to try not to obsess!
but I might still POAS on the 5th Ssssh!
And just had an evening out with two single friends who seem to think that anyone married or ttc "just doesn't understand..." I could say the same for them - life doesn't get easy the minute you settle down!
Pistachio I'm not desperate for the job but its all part of the mix of needing a job closer to DHs so that we can move somewhere more affordable with more room for DC(s). Being a grown up is way too complicated sometimes!
Marie Thanks for your concern about my armpit pain haha! Blush
Hope you're all well... And sorry for the rant!
X

PistachioTruffle · 26/03/2013 22:43

MrsAVB That's very true, people always say that if you wait for exactly the right time to TTC it might never come, but it would be even more unlikely to arrive if on top of all the things that are regularly thought about (suitable house, savings, ideal point in career etc) everyone waited until their friends wanted to TTC, what if they never did? What if it took much longer than anticipated? I also think that being pregnant/having a baby is an opportunity for many women to meet new people in similar situations, through antenatal classes, baby groups etc.

I have internet cheapie tests in the drawer, I'm very tempted to POAS on the 5th

chocoloulou33 · 26/03/2013 23:00

Ah marie that must be strange for u. It will so be worth the wait I promise you. Let's hope this is our lucky month! So we're both poas sat! Soooo exciting! Gah only tues 2moro, hurry up weekend x
