No April Fools on the April BFP Bus, we got cookies

Well I am dusting down the drivers seat and kick starting the April bus for those the BFP fairy missed on the lucky Mad March bus. Fingers crossed the destination for this one is 'Baby Central'.

I have a friend who doesn't iron but I cant not, our clothes are all so creased! I don't know how to avoid it :( it's my least favourite job ever! I've managed to stick the meat in the oven so making slow progress :)

I was a bit like that with the books I needed to mark - kept thinking that I would put it off until Easter hols, then ofsted came in and I had no choice but to get them all done at once... Wonder if that is what bfp will be like, putting things off until not expecting it? Hmm...

Thanks ladies but it is a goodbye from me for now. After having a chat with my dh and mum we've decided to stop TTC for a year to save harder for a mortgage and so I can move schools. Thank you for all your support over the last few months and fx you all get your BFPs very soon! Xxx

Only for 4 months, but I'm very unhappy in my job and have been offered the opportunity to move so think I need to focus on that and getting a house first. Bit rubbish as I really want to be a mum but I think it's the right decision! Xxx

I don't own an iron. I'm finishing off a cardigan I've knitted for my nephew. I don't think it's very good, sadly :(

We are almost home after a weekend away visiting family! Long car journey (DH is driving... I'm the car DJ!)

Should really try to dtd tonight.. Temp is on the rise (although not quite at its usual luteal phase high yet) and I reckon I might have ov'd on Friday... Possibly... But still worth another try I suppose! Except we are exhausted!

Need to just sleep!

I think i ovulated today, though my IC OPK isn't showing any positive, my temp really dropped low this morning. May pee on one in a bit to check. Though me and DP have been having loads of fun ;) He's a bit tired now bless him.
He's having a right giggle at all the acronyms we use, trying figure out what they mean lol

Good luck Ela, think I'd struggle to stop now but then it's taken me years to pluck up the courage to ttc! Not sure why, I'm a scaredey cat! We are just moving into our own house though next Saturday (currently having a break from packing hell!) so you've made a sensible decision and it'll be worth the wait. Wink

Massive congratulations sorelip! 8 is an impressive rate of bfps!

Not sure what my body is doing this cycle, don't think I've ovved. Cd20 now and nothing sees to have happened and af due in 8 days ish, maybe it's the excitement of moving! Dtd quite a bit but think its to no avail sadly. Anyway time will tell!

Dh irons his own shirts and I iron bed linen if the inlaws come to stay! Grin

Can't believe I'm in the minority ironing-wise! I'm clearly wearing the wrong type of clothes! Managed to iron for an hour and now I'm sweaty and grumpy. Grrrrr

It took my mind off TTC for an hour :)

I got a faint line on my opk! Darker then the last "faint" line I got. Try again in the morning :)

Good luck ela, it sounds like a sensible but difficult decision.

We are just back from our 'babymoon' planned to get ttc off to a good start. According to my app, I should be ovulating today and have dtd ever day since af left so fx we should be in with a good chance this month. We're not stopping yet though as I have a short cycle so I expect I probably ov later than my app predicts. Im really hoping for a good few more bfp's this week.
Jellybean- my DH also finds the shorthand intriguing and we have started using it when discussing ttc so as to avoid too much interest from the dc's.

Good luck for May champagne, science and anyone else I've forgotten. Ela - best of luck- I may be in a similar situation soon and am dreading having to make a decision. FX this is my month! sorelip - congrats, let us know the secrets of your success!
As for the ironing, penny I can't believe you've done an hour! We do iron some things but not everything. My mum on the other hand, irons her knickers, tea towels, dishcloths...

Thank you all for the good wishes. Ela, good luck and I hope you find a happier place to work soon.

The secret to my success? It seems to be:

  1. Only have sex once during the fertile period
  2. Decide you don't want any (more) children for now
  3. Do a test to confirm that you are NOT pregnant so you can go on the pill again
  4. Get a BFP and have a mini panic attack.

Obviously I don't recommend any of these steps.

As for ironing, I own an iron but not an ironing board. Ergo, no ironing is done.

It seems you guys were right to wait a bit longer - just tested again and bfp!!

very excited although first reaction is relief for having done the wee i was busting for since 3.30am - i lasted until 5am before thinking i would pop! Luckily Dh forgave me for waking him in the middle of the night!

feel a but guilty for having wine in Saturday night after Saturday morning's neg test result, but i suppose there's not much i can do about that now. Health kick starts in earnest now!

The excitement is kicking in now and DH has gone off to work with a spring in his step and a new incentive to work extra hard! I am working from home today and am going to have to work really hard to motivate myself to do anything other than get excited and muck about on mn!

Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting for sticks to pee on. I might go and have a little look at the December anti-natal thread and hope to see you guys over there soon (am sure I will still be lurking on this thread too though!).

I'm feeling a bit worried and anxious this morning... Cd22 and still no bbt riseHmm
Still don't even know if I've really had a positive OPK this month... Lots of lines last week but I wouldn't class at of them as positives (unlike last month where I had very obvious positives on cd17 and cd18)

Not sure what's going on... Combined with the fact that I had a small amount of blood on cd10... I'm feeling worried and a bit sad! Blush

Last month I'm sure I ovulated.. Lots of EWCM and positive OPKs...
This month = nothing Blush

This might not be a helpful suggestion, but how about you just focus on the end of this month. Then you'll know for sure either way, and can either start again or (hopefully) have your BFP! I'll hold your hand and do the same :)

Could you even stop temping for this month, or would it mess up your charts? Just assume this one was a weird month, have a Wine and hopefully be surprised by a BFP and not have to start again next month.
