merkin I really have no idea about where the needles go lol! I'm just going for my first consultation tomorrow now that I will try anything

MotherOfCleo · 26/02/2013 20:05

hi ladies, tbh I dont feel pregnant yet and I totally understand how you all feel as I've felt the same way myself many times. I understand the heartbreak and I'm so sorry to be making you all feel sad.

Currently I am terrified, I am so scared that I am going to start bleeding or get my AF when its due on Thursday. I don't dare believe it will all be ok yet. My line wasn't any darker this morning and I keep obsessing about it.

I always thought this side of the line would be all roses and rainbows but it's just scary and a bit lonely. Dont get me wrong I am so so so pleased that I finally got my bfp but am just scared to get too excited. Hope that made sense??

Boodle9 · 26/02/2013 20:14

Waaaaah! Too much to read! Smile! Mumsnet and a full-time job are just NOT compatible!

Merkin; I've only had acupuncture once and then never went back as I was embarrassed about taking off my trousers and her seeing my fat legs but there were no needles in my feet. However, I did get them in my legs, abdomen and head!!! Not just forehead, ALL over my head! Weeeird. Couldn't really feel them at all though - certainly not painful in the slightest.

Mother - I hope everything is still OK and the spotting-type stuff has stayed away now. I imagine every little thing makes you wonder and worry! Stay here as long as you need to though - I imagine the jump to the pregnancy forums must be very scary when it's early days.

Bunny - nothing helpful to say, but I will mope around with you. I'm feeling very low - still no appointment date and doctors still being pretty useless in actually helping me out with other health issues.

ILoveMyCats · 26/02/2013 20:14

Hi all!
Down in the dumps and bitter here too. Well done on the accupuncture, soph. I had 11 needles on my first session - 1 on the side of each knee, 1 in each ankle and 1 on the top of each foot then the rest were around my navel. I can honestly say I didn't feel a thing. Quite disappointed in a way! She said that I'd need 2/3 sessions to get going then once a month for 2-3 months, which didn't seem excessive. Feels better for doing something to address my cycle weirdness. Good luck! Lt me know if you want to compare notes. Am going for session 2 on Friday.

Boodle9 · 26/02/2013 20:18

Cross-posted a bit there! Mother I'm guessing that you feel in a bit of a 'No Man's Land' at the moment. As I said just now, the pregnancy forum jump must be very daunting when it's such early days, but you're worried if you stick around here the savage elderberries will start hurling TTC paraphernalia at your head! We won't! PROMISE!!! Discreetly drops sling shot and 100 pack of cheap OPKs

Soph80 · 26/02/2013 20:19

Oh Mother, you're not making us sad, the world is! That totally makes sense but please do try to relax. Is DH looking after you well? xxx

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2013 20:20

Mother Everyone worries, it's bound to be terrifying! Despite frustration and jealousy and all the other emotions of TTC we don't really have the type of worry anyone will every have for a child iyswim. I think everyone does the worrying, just do what you can to stay relaxed, the stats are on your side. Make sure Mr Mother is looking after you. Keep talking to us (and/or anyone you can in RL if possible). Try to distract yourself, film, book, bath etc. Avoid Dr Google at all costs. Keep peeing on sticks if you need to. And remember some peoples lines don't get that dark.. don't worry. Hang on in there as we're all rooting for you (both)!

I don't want to be a downer, but as far as I read everyone says they worry for the first week and think after that they;ll be ok, but then they worry for the first trimester, and then they think everything will be ok but then they worry for the second etc etc. Ie I don't think Thursday will be the end of the worrying, potentially you just get better at dealing at it (maybe the more obviously pregnant you are??) Obviously I have no idea... and am probably not helping ;) Anyway don't be sorry about making us sad... we can still drink wine!! x

MotherOfCleo · 26/02/2013 20:21

cheers boodle Im afriad you're stuck with me till the weekend at least Smile I'll be quiet and sit in the corner eating cookies like a good girl.

ILoveMyCats · 26/02/2013 20:23

Agree with the posts to our pg berries. It's very encouraging to us, but understand the new fears it holds. Stay with us!

MotherOfCleo · 26/02/2013 20:24

Thanks again, means a lot.

Soph80 · 26/02/2013 20:24

Boodle9 · 26/02/2013 20:25

Yeah...I'm going to have to confiscate those cookies. They're very um...bad for pregnant women...yeah... Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2013 20:31

MotherOfCleo · 26/02/2013 20:35

haha, I have choc hobnobs, animal biccys, choc chip cookies, clubs and penguins yes I have biccy issues and I am sharing them round eagerly. Grin

ILoveMyCats · 26/02/2013 20:36

The only biccy issue is not having any.

Boodle9 · 26/02/2013 20:40

mmmfff....om nom nom...ok....dribble...I'll share the cookies. (Have some scrappy bits of dairy milk in my baking box that may or may not survive the evening.)

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2013 20:46

Boodle you have made my day by reminding me, when I thought there was no chocolate in the house, that I have loads of white baking choc

Boodle9 · 26/02/2013 21:00

Glad to be of service! Grin

Soph80 · 26/02/2013 21:05

oh ffs I only came for the chocolate digestives Wink

Pipbin · 26/02/2013 21:31

Well I've got cramps and very very light brown CM. AF will be here by morning, I'm convinced.

I've just realised that I have got this code here: W12TTJT for www.graze.com. If you put in that code then you will get a free box of nibbly things sent to you! Yes free nibbly thing ladies!

Bunnygirlie · 26/02/2013 21:37

Glad I'm not the only grumpy one merkin barking

I am happy for the pg berries, just feeling sorry for myself. Hitting the 9 month mark is just such a real downer Sad

mother fairy bet you are feeling weird, i know if I ever get that bloody line I will be scared, I wouldn't wanna leave the berries to graduate until I'd seen that little blob on the screen at the 12 week scan.

soph acupuncture, interesting! I've been having reflexology since end of nov now and I do feel it's doing me good, periods healthier and helping my IBS too. It probably is helping my ov but as we're not DTDing enough it ain't gonna happen is it lol

boodle and cats come sit with me on the B&T sofa, let's mope together, I'll bring the choc cheesecake!

OP posts:
CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2013 21:41

Assuming me and my merkin are allowed on the B&T sofa... Budge up!

Fairydogmother · 26/02/2013 21:44

I'm finding it all a bit odd tbh. Certainly don't feel pregnant as such!

My friend is due next month and she said she felt weird until the first scan as sh was convinced it would show there was nothing there!

I think the pregnancy forums may be easier if you've already had a baby so not sure I feel 100% comfortable there yet!

Boodle9 · 26/02/2013 21:54

Just to confirm, if it wasn't obvious from the above, I'm not a talented story writer like Pip!

Bunny, since you dibbed chocolate cheesecake, I'm going to bring my pudding speciality - homemade tiffin! Extra big piece reserved for you! (To say sorry for the merkin incident outlined above.)

Soph80 · 26/02/2013 21:58

Bunny - if it makes you feel better, we are DTD enough and it still aint happening lol

Fairy - my friend paid for a scan (not sure at what point you can see anything). She said it cost about £100 but was money well spent as totally put her mind at rest.
