Still no AF!

Oh here she is! AF has arrived, properly this time. Don't know what the 2 days spotting then 1 day nothing was all about. Did a test last night and everything! Bfn obviously, should have waited til this morning. Good luck everyone, I'm off to the March bus!

Sorry about your mc Wardy. It all sounds v strange! The only thing I can think of perhaps is that the mc left something behind and it is interfering with your cycle

Or of course you may be preg and your body simply isn't showing the hormone yet.

How long until the doc's now?

Book apt on Friday but then they won't do the blood test then I will get forms filled in by doc and have to book another apt for blood test

Wardy my cycles were so strange after my MMC. It could be that you had an LH surge but didn't ovulate on the 25th. Or you could be having a very long luteal phase for some reason! If you had retained products I am pretty sure you would know about it by now, you would most likely have a high temperature, bleeding and pain. I hope that what actually happens is that your blood test reveals a BFP...You are really fertile after a MC but hormones are doing their own thing so perhaps your levels aren't triggering the POASs.

Sorry to hear about your af Ariel. For the last few months I have been having the spotting pattern you describe. I hope it is just our progesterone levels refusing to go down and putting up a fight before giving up!

I am spotting more heavily today, feel fat and fed up so it looks like Aunt Flo is on the way! Hopefully she will turn up with 4 huge suitcases and a cat's bum gob. The bitch.

Book you shouldn't be sorry, the ladies on MN talked me in to going to the GP after my MMC, follow up scans seem very rare so retained products aren't picked up until you get symptoms of infection! I was lucky and didn't have any, but it took a long while to sort out and a very long time to convince anyone that a scan might help to rule it out. I guess they are expensive to do. How are you doing anyway?

Thanks Book and Quick for your advice. Going to try and get a sooner docs appointment then Friday as I just want to know now. I have cheapy pg tests so I'm doing 1 every morning at the moment even though I think I'm not pg I'm checking just in case. Can't believe I'm 9 days late. I hope my bodies not playing cruel tricks on me.

I'm ok Book. Still have my 8dpo bfn in mind so not counting on anything other than AF arriving by Friday. We only DTD 3x over the fertile time too.

I did buy a thermometer earlier though so am going to start charting my temperature. No idea what I'm doing though so will have to google!!

Where's everyone else? It's quite quiet on the bus at the moment!!

Hi everyone been away for a couple of days so am just catching up. Wardy I cannot believe you still don't know. Hope you get a quicker docs appt.
Well if by any slim chance I was pregnant already then I have pickled it as I got horribly drunk on Friday. Horribly. Just got back today and had loads of cm yesterday so have probably missed it chance this month anyway! So not expecting much to happen but have got blood test soon so if we don't get pregnant then at least investigations are starting.

Hm, just noticed this thermometer only does it to one point. So it says 36.9 rather than 36.93 or something. Is this no good?

Quiet that is good news, the blood tests I mean! Since TTC I have really appreciated the medicinal and stress relieving qualities of alcohol too.

Book I started making a bloody spreadsheet on Excel and then found Fertility Friend which does lots of clever things...the free version still lets you record temps and symptoms, then makes an amazing graph for you without you having to throw your laptop through a window. It also has a bewitching 'pregnancy monitor' function, which in the TWW adds up your pregnancy points (given for symptoms!). I got in to the 70s this month and so feel like I managed something (how sad is that!)

Wardy I would recommend crying at the doctor. Or say that it is having a real impact on your mental wellbeing. Amazing how that little phrase will get them back to tapping on the old keyboard. I think mental health figures by surgery are now published, so they will do anything to keep me off anti-depressants! It is my stock response now. I am probably on an at risk list somewhere.

AF still not here, spotting almost gone to nothing...what the hell is going on in there?! Still feel really fat so going to combat this by having a massive curry and beer.

Book that should be okay, for ovulation you are looking for a shift of at least 0.2 so yours would pick that up. Plus you will have a smoother looking graph than me!

If you do sign up to FF I think we can share charts - not sure of the benefits of this, but you can look at loads of real charts on there and search for things like 'what percentage of women reported this dazzling array of mad symptoms and were not pregnant?' AND you can look at thousands of photos of internet pg tests going from negative to positive over a series of days. Strangely addictive!

Fmu on Asda cheapy test and BFN! So just need AF to get here now so we can crack on properly & make a Nov baby and I think I should find as eat on March bus!

I am also not pregnant but af hasn't arrived, is this a bus thing?! Day 39 and starting to dread the monster period that will finally arrive.

10 days late.... Still BFN!!! Called docs can't get an apt till 5th March, what a joke!!!

Wardy I didn't get Af until day 40 last month with lots of bfn tests too. The uncertainty is v hard to handle. Am now on day 29 this month and am not testing or getting hopes up after last months rollercoaster. (cycle lengths had been 21-24 until 3 years on pill and same for first couple of cycles after). I hope things turn out better for you.
