Re the drinking thing. As I didn't find out till I was 16/17 weeks with DD1 I drank (not a lot mind you as not a big drinker) back then and she is fine with DD2 i'd have a glass of wine with sunday lunch every now and then. So in moderation really and what you want to do.

Spring, that's what I'm thinking if I have symptoms then surely that means there's enough hormone to detect on a test!!! Prob just imaging the symptoms!!!

So tired this morning. By 9pm last night I could barely keep my eyes open.

Me and Hubby dtd last night, if anything I thought it might bring AF on but nothing!!! 4 days late now!!! Someone stop me from going insane!!!

Wardy - maybe worth getting a blood test to check if home tests are bringing up a bfn.

Still waiting over here. More and more I think that is just a wtf cycle and as I didn't have many of those after my mc and cp I can't complain really:( but of course a part of me is hoping for a bfp on Friday....

How many days late are you now notsoold?

4/5 days late but because my cycles are long 31/32 days long it feels like forever, so I sympathize with you....

Long cycles are truly rubbish. I'm starting to wonder if I even ovulated this month. Not long off the pill, so maybe not...

nots.. We def need some bfp on here, it's nice to hear others' good news. Keeps me smiling!

Nots - my cycle is normally 32 days as well. I'm not really distracting myself I'm struggling big time I'm on day 37 today!!!!!

Spring - how do you know if you ovulated or not? I used clearblue OPKs and got a smiley face which means it picked up an LH surge!! Does that mean I definitely ovulated? What does it mean if you didn't ovulate?

Wardy, lh surge is an indicator and combined with bbt monitoring is a really good indicator, but don't know if there is a way of confirming ovulation for definite. Blood tests maybe, but not a doc so don't know. Lack of ovulation can lead to irregular periods hence my thoughts about my situation, as only just off the pill which stops ovulation. Ic should arrive tomorrow, not sure I'm going to be able to stop myself testing mid afternoon! It's got to the point I'm glad they didn't come today so i can't test and be disappointed this afternoon!

Spring - I've just done some reading and one we site says that after a mc it's POAS to have LH surge but not ovulate and this is my first cycle after mc so now I'm thinking I probably haven't ovulated, but why would that make your period late?

I'm really upset now I know it's silly to get hopes up but I was really hoping I was late coz pg and the hormone just needed some time to come through sorry for whinging!!!

Wardy....sorry for you mc hun...and although I don't have any information to give regarding LH I know how awful it is afterwards during af visits and the build up of expectancy for another bfp....

I had a sickness bug the week/end I was due to ovulate would that effect things at all?

Oh wardy, sorry if I upset you, I just know the pill can affect it, hence my post. Internet is a nightmare, I try not to google things, and there is a load of sites that cover almost every eventuality/combination/random symptom going. I also read somewhere that fertility spikes after a mc, as I said, everyone's unique and its hard to tell what's medically proved fact and what's just someone's personal experience.

Here's hoping both of us are showing bfn as not enough hormone yet. I'm going to docs on Thursday if still no af. No idea what they'll be able to do but hey, worth a shot.

Oh spring you didn't upset me at all just getting upset with the whole process!! I've read about being more fertile after mc too!! Probably best not to sit and read Internet!!

ladies I'm in a pickle, I have serious lower back ache, major tiredness, plus I keep feeling sick and..........I've not even OVd yet lol.
I do finally have EWCM though so should OV in the next few days.

just did an opk and got a positive so maybe that explains the back ache???? no idea re the rest though.

Wards - same as you, day 37. Truly fed up too, just kinda wish af would hurry up so I can get back to normal and get on with next cycle.

Mother - sounds good! As for the rest, no idea, but maybe your noticing the effort your body's putting in to ovulating this month! (See? I have no idea and make a complete guess )
