A wordy fred title I know, but it's too early to think of something snappier!

Get ready for the end of the world: grab your OFRS, your emergency gin supply and join us shrivelled harridans in the BESH Bunker.

Admittance is only permitted on production of a successfully completed BESHtionnaire (hint, check out previous BESH threads)

rie I didn't think you were horrible on that thread, glad your head isn't too bad - was it worth it? - and am sorry about your cat. Pets are wonderful but it's awful when they get ill.

norf it feels like everything is speeding along for you suddenly.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 10/12/2012 16:16

That is the plan - snuggling in front of a cheesy movie or terrible telly, if there is something on! I am never home on Mondays, so I have no idea! Also, I am home already and I am just finishing some bits to send to colleagues, so they can work on them, while I snooze through meetings tomorrow. Only one important one luckily! I shall doze up on painkillers before then!

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 10/12/2012 16:22

Masterchef and University Challenge are my Monday tv highlights.

I hate many things about my job but at my rank I am not expected to go to many meetings, for which I am truly thankful.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 10/12/2012 16:35

Neither am I, but we meet usually on the first Tuesday of the month for a million (really dull) things. Last week we had a day out, at which there were several dull meetings. And now we get some more. Hurrah Wink

Finished the bits really needing doing. Will check my email for the final time and then collapse in a heap in front of the telly. Looking forward to Masterchef. University challenge is a bit of a challenge in the current state...

EuroShagmore · 10/12/2012 17:56

First day back at work and I have to go for a business dinner tonight. With lovely people, but still. I would rather be heading home to my sofa.

Frankelstein · 10/12/2012 17:59

Rie sorry about your cat. Is it one particular thing or lots of smaller things?

How you feeling now lemony? Sometimes I feel a total loon for having signed up for my course - full time job, part-time degree, dance teacher training and trying to win a baybee is rather a lot for one plate!

Sooo,, who is heading for the Hugh Grant webchat tonight? Hmm?

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 10/12/2012 18:21

What course are you doing frank? I almost applied for a masters in September, kind of wish I had now.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 10/12/2012 18:36

Wow, frank you are more insane than me Grin dance teacher training as well. Feeling a bit better, because I've given myself the evening off. Vegged in front of the telly now. So that is good. Counselling was quite helpful and provided me with an excuse to skive off for the night...

Frankelstein · 10/12/2012 19:02

I'm doing a degree in Horseracing! It sounds like a bit of a Mickey Mouse course I know, but it's relevent to my job and as I don't have a degree-level qualification at the moment (left education at 18) it fills a gap in my CV.

I'm in my third year of a six year course Confused, and I'm glad I didn't put it off due to "possible baybee" scenarios.

ArielTheBahHumbugMermaid · 10/12/2012 19:10

Your twin passions of horsing and dancing amuse me, Frank. Do you do dressage?

Cat has been vomiting since Saturday and has had a UTI as well. Poor pussycat :(

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 10/12/2012 19:10

A full degree Xmas Shock. I am in my second year of a parttime masters and thought that was bad enough. Frank has my undying respect. And I'll not soon forget the test in equine reproduction...

Not putting life on hold is a good plan!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 10/12/2012 19:11

Poor cat. And poor ariel cleaning up after sad, sick cat!

Frankelstein · 10/12/2012 19:14

I don't ride these days Rie, though I did love doing dressage Grin - I'm a bit of a wuss over jumps, though I used to go up to 3ft if I knew the horse would jump it.

TBH, the degree gives me something to do in the evenings when HWHNN is not here!

JethroTull · 10/12/2012 21:50

Am very impressed with the amount of extra curricular activities going on. And all the learning. It hurt my poor brain the first time around.

Driz sorry for headaches & general angst. I start stabbing on Thurs. Stabbing lesson tomorrow.

Rie how is sickcat? JethroDog is sick too. He has colitis which basically means me cleaning up runny pooh far too often.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 10/12/2012 21:55

Jethro achooal stabbing is not too bad. Just keep an eye on side effects. I noticed that I cope better when I know it is Ze Drucks, rather than me going insane and/or grumpy from now for ever more...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 10/12/2012 21:56

Oh and good luck with all types of lessons and looking after all sorts of ill pets! It is nearly lemon bedtime. And tomorrow I am in meetings ALL day...

Northey · 10/12/2012 22:00

Shock at clever energetic people. I am shattered just by a normal working day. It was all I could manage to microwave some leftover sausages when I got home tonight.

bluer · 10/12/2012 22:01

Evening all! Gosh you've been a busy bunch...my brain is too fried after a long Monday to take it all in. ended up getting ambushed by some clinical psychologists as pat of a study group at work....they kept asking questions and when one of us asked if they could be more specific about what they meant they told us just to answer on what we thought they meant! Freaky shut for sure! They just kept staring ..and they were filming us too.
Anyhow apart from that it was a dill old day...bad news is I suspect yet another of my colleagues is diffed. I'd she is that's three out of a dept of nine on mat from the summer....

EuroShagmore · 10/12/2012 22:42

Wot Norfy sed. I never seem to have any spare energy for anything by the time I get in from work. And KFZK takes charge of the cooking, so I don't even have to microwave sausages!

JethroTull · 10/12/2012 22:49

Thanks Lemons, I'm hoping that I will be able to rationalise any mood swings too. Will probably turn into some snivelling wreck though!

ArielTheBahHumbugMermaid · 10/12/2012 23:25

EVERYTHING'S broken! FB is broken! Threads I'm On is broken! What on earth are we supposed to do?

I am in a quandary. I have been asked to take on a project for the local town council which involves a lot of time and responsibility (voluntary) and it's likely to run til June. Part of me thinks I could do with the challenge and focus and a big part of me thinks I will be too fragile in the coming months one way of another. Me not doing the job well enough will mean the failure of something which will really benefit the town's tourism. So another part of me is just wondering whether I don't have the self confidence and I am just scared of fucking up. I don't know what to do.

EuroShagmore · 11/12/2012 06:40

Rie it sounds like a great distraction to me, and I am sure you would do a great job as you clearly care a lot about this. I say go for it.

Northey · 11/12/2012 07:17

I agree with euro. I think you said before that winter is very slow for you work-wise, and the mixture of darkness, coldness, inactivity and personal grief sound like a recipe for a very difficult time.

Am nearly at work :(

EuroShagmore · 11/12/2012 10:10

I'm at work and shattered! I've been awake since 5am. Pesky jetlag.

And the nausea is back. Hmmm.

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 11/12/2012 14:18

rie if they've asked you then they have faith in your abilities. You've had loads of shit you have no.control over so I reckon being able to control this and do a great job will be brilliant for you.

Tell us more about your menkulling euro.
