A wordy fred title I know, but it's too early to think of something snappier!

Get ready for the end of the world: grab your OFRS, your emergency gin supply and join us shrivelled harridans in the BESH Bunker.

Admittance is only permitted on production of a successfully completed BESHtionnaire (hint, check out previous BESH threads)

Canton!

Well at least it wasn't Ely or Riverside, I suppose.

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 11:57

Or Splott! We did live two doors down from a nice pub which is ideal for final year students!

ArielTheBahHumbugMermaid · 09/12/2012 11:59

Grangetown or Butetown - mmmmm!

Llandaff would have been ok.

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 12:10

My friend's DH grew up in Grangetown. She doesn't love visiting her ILs!

Llandaff was alright but not brilliant. Shop choices were either a long walk to Tesco or ridiculously expensive Spar! But the halls were a nice set up.

EuroShagmore · 09/12/2012 12:22

Fanks Besh! Twas lovely. There will be photos on the Book of Face later if I can motivate myself into uploading some.

I have never spent so much money in a week before, but it was a lovely week. The seaplane flights were veh cool. The diving was awesome. We saw a whale shark, turtles and lots of preeeeety coloured feeshes. We had lots of sechsy time. I ate shedloads, but according to the scales have only put on a quarter of a pound although that might be due to dehydration . Maybe all the diving and snorkelling compatted the bloat? There were loads of Japanese guests there and the restaurants served the best sushi I have ever tasted. I am a lovely honey colour now. I expect that to last about three days before my skin dries up due to the central heating, but it looks nice for the moment. Unfortunately, my best colour is on my bum - we did a lot of snorkelling.

I am not thrilled to be home. I am reall feeling the cold. Last night, to bed I discarded the little bits of lace and silk I have been wearing for the last week in favour of PJ bottoms, socks, a thermal vest, a long sleeved top and a hot water bottle. Oh well, I've oved now and I don't need to tempt KFZK, so I'm all about the comfort. Wink It's odd to be back to people talking about Xmas and seeing the decorations around when yesterday I was on the beach.

ArielTheBahHumbugMermaid · 09/12/2012 12:30

Nekkid snorkelling????!!!11!1

Sounds idyllic Euro.

RockinaroundtheTippletree · 09/12/2012 12:46

Droid arrived this morning. The dozy bitch had to arrive while I was out too, so had to do the tesco shop feeling unprepared and quite frankly paranoid too but I survived. I'm surprisingly almost a bit relieved. I knew this clomid malarkey wont work but I was worried I'd be weeks late and stressing and it would ruin Christmas. Now I know that I will actually be ovulating over Christmas when I know we'd normally be doing lots of secshing anyway AND I will also be able to drink litres of my dads lethal mulled wine on Christmas Day and champagne on my birthday. So all positive. I think. I may need a little cry after tea though.

I LOVE Gavin and Stacey although (aware this makes me sound like a bad person) not the happy ending in the last ever episode with the whole - Gav has a low sperm count but we've run out of episodes so we'll make her pregnant anyway. That just made me cry. They didn't have to try anywhere near hard enough. But that's looking at it through bitter BESH eyes.

Lovely to have you back Euro - hols sound amazing. Well jel of the tanned rump too. I'm so pale I look almost see through at the moment. Not the sexiest of looks.

Time for Lisa to go tonight for Strictly and who do we reckon will win xFactor? Felt so sorry for Jahmane(sp?) when one of the mics went during his song. I think that might win it for him?

ArielTheBahHumbugMermaid · 09/12/2012 12:52

Well all in all, that sounds tentatively positive, Rasp. Have the cry and get it out of your system though

Must admit I am not looking forward to the festive season:

  1. No alcohol
  2. pregnant sister
  3. mad father
  4. pregnant SIL
  5. mad brother
  6. no alcohol
  7. mad and bitter old cow of a mother
  8. no alcohol

This is why is was after getting some little cottage in the country, but due to Family Madness, this won't be possible. DSis and I are the only ones who are sane and she's fecking pregnant Angry

RockinaroundtheTippletree · 09/12/2012 13:58

Family politics and Christmas just go so well together don't they rie. How is your dad now? And did you speak to your mum again about treatment after the other week?

Northey · 09/12/2012 14:45

Aw rie. Let's fuck off to a deluxe croft in the Highlands and just drink and sleep for 48 hours. Please please please? Go on.

Welcome back, LuxuryIslandChick. You haven't missed much. A few stabbing lessons and some royal baybee vitriol.

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 16:24

Tipps you're absolutely right. I have never actually known of any well scripted story lines with regards to infertility. They never have a real diagnosis. They always miraculously fall pregnant with trying when they relax - Gavin and Stacey, One Tree Hill's Brooke - what's that one about???! Just a late droid, visit to the doctor and then a You can never have children?! and then later she gets diffed with twins?! Friends - Monica has an "inhospitable environment" and Chandler has a low sperm count with no clear reason why. Tis all crap.

I can't imagine dealing with your circumstances sober rie. Bad enough when pished. Is it cos of the drucks?!

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 17:06

Now Frank I'm keeping a low profile on t'other place what with being off work but its got to be Elf!! Xmas Smile

Frankelstein · 09/12/2012 17:07

I've started watching Uncle Buck so if its not as good as I remember I can switch to Elf in 10 minutes Grin

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 09/12/2012 17:08

Don't get me onto storylines with IF. The hormonal rage has arrived (expecting to do only one more evil stab tomorrow, then egg laying stab and IUI) with droid due on boxing day, when we'll be seeing my SIL, and you all know I hate her with bloody good reason That Shopping Trip Two Weeks post MC I am not that happy. Actually I am bloody grumpy. Good job we're outsourcing.

So quick waves and admiring looks at the browned bootie of the shagger. Like your PJ style upon arrival at home...

EuroShagmore · 09/12/2012 17:55

I agree re: the lack of well-scripted IF storylines. They are always a bit shit. I have bought Ben Elton's Inconceivable to read when we go back to IVF. He went through it so should know what he is writing about at least.

Tsk, Rie . Twasn't nekkid snorkelling. I just had my arse up in the air a lot. And now have some interesting tan lines.

InTheDeepMidwynter · 09/12/2012 18:23

I really enjoyed Inconceivable - it's a really well written book and quite moving.

I could do with a holiday. Even though I only went in October :(

Northey · 09/12/2012 18:52

Ooh, is that alwyn? Great name change.

I'd forgotten about Inconveivable. I must see if I can find a copy.

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 09/12/2012 19:03

I could do with a holiday too. I've not been since January. I have about 90 hours of annual available, and can only carry 40 over to the next year (April). HWCA has only got about 18 hours to take. I can take some time off, but do what? Thinking of going somewhere on my own - would that be really weird?

OComeAllYeFaithBaby · 09/12/2012 19:08

I get more leave than MSB, like 2 weeks more! I just book a random week off and do naice things - see friends, go shopping, tidy/clean the house. I really enjoy those weeks at home! Xmas Smile

Northey · 09/12/2012 19:28

I love days off work just pottering at home too, faif.

Currently waiting for AMNH to phone, so we can fill in the ivf forms together. I would just do it for him but I have no idea if his testicles were or weren't descended at birth...

Frankelstein · 09/12/2012 19:35

I has just posted in the BESH group in t'other place. It is important - read it

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 09/12/2012 19:51

Read and done

Norf will he know??

I think I would like to go somewhere. Mebbe a few days alone might be nice. Perhaps somewhere beeyooteeful in this country. Lake District? Peak District?

InTheBleakMidwynter · 09/12/2012 19:51

Damnit!! I meant Bleak, of course.

And yes, 'tis I, alwyn [twirls the new name around a bit and falls into the corner]

Fanks for all the adds on t'other place - I feel luffed sniff

Northey · 09/12/2012 20:57

Apparently they were. Hurrah! Now we can all rest easy :)

Now, if only I had a clue how to answer questions about my droidal habits. Surely a fair few ivf referees will not be able to state a usual cycle length, ffs.

InTheBleakMidwynter · 09/12/2012 21:17

I feel that I can sleep now, knowing that norf
