IVF egg transfer

Hi there, I'm about to embark on my third round of IVF, the first time we've been abroad (Prague) I had a baby via IVF 20 months ago and I had her by c section. On the two previous attempts I had three embryos put back. This time because I have had a c section they are strongly advising on just putting 2 back . On my previous IVF attempts I fell pg with the first round and lost the baby at 9 weeks. The second time I fell pg with twins and lost one at 9 weeks. I know they are worried about me falling pg with twins this time but drastically surely it is unlikely. Both my husband and I think we should go for three embryos. Has anyone else been in this situation before? I'd be really grateful for any advice. Many thanks

How old are you? I thought it was dependant on your age and also what stage the embryo is at at transfer. I was only allowed one embryo replaced as I was under 35 which increased chances of success and also it was a 5 day blastocyst which again increases chances of success.

I also think it depends on the clinic as to how much they'll stick to te HFEA guideance but I know there's a duty to try reduce the number of multiple pregnancies .

The fact you've conceived through IVF before puts you at a much higher risk of a multiple pregnancy this time - 2 rather than 3 embryos back sounds like a good idea - do they freeze any spare good embryos for you?
