Welcome to our new humble abode for the next six weeks or so, Brookers!

Here's hoping this fred will be as lucky as sparks' and scarlett's [hgrin]

OP posts:
Princessishavingababyboo · 09/11/2012 18:53

Cup amazing news!! Brilliant that the forms have arrived. Now it's time for your ironic BFP Grin

Geeklette · 09/11/2012 19:19
ScarlettInSpace · 09/11/2012 19:46

I didn't have to give the hospital photos - is this why my ovaries didn't respond?? Shock

Geeklette · 09/11/2012 20:43

Maybe they are shy scarlett? Do you have pictures of your ovaries to hand?

ScarlettInSpace · 09/11/2012 21:56

Well there are lots of photos of them somewhere - when I had the hycosy he took about ten!

I bet he sold them to some weird fetish magazine Shock

Solars · 10/11/2012 13:30

Hello all, hope everyone is doing well!

Cups that is great news about your questionnaire, we weren't asked for photos but we had to take photo id at our consent meeting which they photocopied and put in our file! Looking forward to your imminent bfp!

Great news too for you Geek too, sneaks a squeeze i'm so pleased and brooking that the op takes place this side of xmas! I really hope your dream comes true even if it means I would have to have triplets yikes

Keep I am so jealous of you being in India for Diwali, I've always wanted to go then! One of the reasons I love winter too, celebrating Diwali and then Christmas is around the corner. I've had a couple of hot christmases once in Australia and another in Dubai. Oz was quite festive as we spent it with some new friends but Dubai just didn't feel festive enough!

Beedle lovely, drinking and dancing have definitely ensured your bfp!

Sweetie I can't believe your ivf review but glad that you have plans to go somewhere else and prove them wrong plus i remember Chorlton and the Wheelies!!!

We've done a lot a talking on our week off and have decided we are going to go with ARGC. We thought that if we're going to spend a huge amount of money we may as well go all out. We have our review on Wednesday at Oxford and although they have been a good clinic I think we would rather go with a place who has had good figures for women my age. We probably won't get an appointment this side of xmas, however DH is very keen to still continue naturally it's probably the thought of spending all that money

Boo how about boobaliscious??

Sparks loving the name twinkle!

Gives the plant a squeeze and waters with wine...

SweetieDoesIt · 10/11/2012 14:07

Afternoon all including the plant

Sparks loving twinkle as the name, although you have to admit booby quite like boobaliscious too does take some beating Grin

Solars we had very similar conversations at going with Arcg or the lister but this was before our treatment and I now know what I know. We are just too far away to commit to the traveling. I agree though if you are paying anyway why not go the whole hog and go for the very best. But of course you will have your ironic BFP by then my dear.

We got our appointment at the egg donor place for 28th November. It is an all day job we have to see the consultant, counseller, nurse, have bloods and semen done. So then we go on hols for a week after that. The bloods allow them to match me to a donor. It is all very exciting, although I can not imagine anything much happening before Christmas. No one would choose to go through egg donation over Christmas I am sure, they will want to be relaxing, enjoying their families and getting drunk is that just me? It is DH 40th on Monday so we are out celebrating this evening with the family so that will be nice to see everyone.

Solars · 10/11/2012 14:26

Wow Sweetie that's great news about the imminent appointment, you just never know about someone wanting to be a donor over Christmas believes in Christmas miracles and all that I'm so excited for you lovely, you will get there and a happy birthday to your DH, sounds like a fun night out tonight x

Princessishavingababyboo · 11/11/2012 18:34

Wow lots of appointments and meetings coming up, busy busy brooking days ahead of us :) home luck everyone.

Sweetie happy birthday for your dh tomorrow. Brooking that someone donate's as their Christmas good deed, and the new clinic has far better doctors than the last one!

Solars I like boobaliscious, but I think they would just shorten it to booby :)

BeedleTheBard · 12/11/2012 08:29

Morning all, and happy birthday to MrSweetie :o

sweetie I shouldn't think anything would happen before Xmas but presumably some of the egg donors would be women going for IVF themselves (due to male issues) who then get it cheaper if they donate some of their eggs. But I think I would also vote for a calm relaxing Xmas with alcohol :o

solars glad you had a good holiday and managed to make some decisions.

We had to do a questionnaire before our first appointment too, and show some ID. They also asked to see my ID before my blood tests, and made me say my ID number once they'd done them to check they had the right labels on the tubes of my blood! They're a bit keen on their ID system here :o

No sign of MrB doing his JIAJ yet but I'm not nagging him at the moment because a) he's a bit stressed and I don't want to add to it, and b) I'm fairly certain that once he's done it they will refer us for IVF and I'm a bit scared. Though if I find out there's a long wait for IVF the heavy frying pan will come out for beating him around the head :o
Oh and c) I'm in the 2WW so I'm obviously preggo so it would be a waste of time :o:o

SecretSparkle · 12/11/2012 18:46

Hi ladies sorry I haven't posted much but just thought I'd pop in n let you all know I'm officially a MWEPP Grin

Geeklette · 12/11/2012 20:23

Congrats spaarks!!!!! Glad it all went well, looking forward to reading a bloow by blow account of your MWEPP-ship Grin

Princessishavingababyboo · 12/11/2012 20:27

Hello o o o o o o o o o o o o

Where the brook is everyone??? Maybe, Face, Imps, Solars, Sweetie? Anyone around? :(:(

Princessishavingababyboo · 12/11/2012 20:29

Hit post before I said HIYA GEEK how the brook are you? Ready for next Monday?

BeedleTheBard · 13/11/2012 05:21

Morning all

Congratulations sparkle have you got your 12week scan booked now?

Waves to geek , do they have to do the pre-op before they will give you a date for the actual op? [completely clueless emoticon]

Hi boo it is a bit quiet round here, I think we've been too successful and nearly everyone has graduated, we'll have to go recruiting for new blood members :o

Geeklette · 13/11/2012 07:22

Morning everyone, it has been ever so quiet on here recently!

boo if I didn't know your condition I'd ask if you had been on the pop again last night Wink

beedle I think you've hit the nail on the head. It's been an exhausting year in Brookerside, so many graduates and post graduates. I think there are a few well-deserved breaks being taken too, given the recent journeys of some of us under-grads. I think you're right, I'll not get my op date until after the consultation, even though he has already seen me.

sparks how are you feeling now lovely? Can't wait to hear the details of your MW visit! You mentioned about agnus castus a little while back. I took that for five months and it sent my cycles positively loopy. Gone are the days when I can guarantee one short and one long cycle, they are now all a minumum of 6 weeks. I don't know how much of that is the AC, and how much is coincidence due to my endometrioma though.

Horrible, horrible cycle here. I am on day 30 and really thought I was gearing up to ov last weekend. I got MrG on the case and we actually did SWI three days on the trot for the first time since we got together all those years ago then my body chickened out and I'm stuck here waiting. I never, ever have mid-cycle bleeding, but last cycle I had two days just before ov, and this cycle I have had seven days of it. Can endometriomas burst? I swear, when I wasn't thinking about my cycles, they just happened. Now, they are officially driving me crazy.

SweetieDoesIt · 13/11/2012 08:29

{{{{group hug to all brookers}}}}

Geek sorry to hear you are having a killer cycle, but well done to MrG for his record breaking efforts GrinBlush. I think the more knowledge you have the crazier it drives you, ignorance is bliss IMO.

Beedle any news on the jiar front? Will it be done by Chrimmy? How you doing?

boo you are right it has been very very quiet in recent days weeks too many grads I think. Only us old stalwarts left Sad. But we will get there by hook or by crook - FACT

Sparks congratulations on being officially MWEPP - yeah yeah yeah SmileGrinSmile

Am starting work a bit later as off to Drs to request a referral to the new clinic and there is mention of some test results they need to going to see if we have already had these and if not see if GP do it to reduce clinic costs now we are paying.

BeedleTheBard · 13/11/2012 08:57

7 days geek Shock , though if you weren't tracking your cycles how would you know that it wasn't just a period? Confused

sweetie I'm fine, sore boobs and feeling slightly off - if I was anyone else I would think that I'm preggo but as I'm not any normal person I don't much, will probably PIAR at the weekend though :o Good luck at the dr.

Solars · 13/11/2012 11:52

Sweetie sounds like a good plan getting as much of the tests done at the GP as possible.

Everything crossed for you Beedle

Geek you poor thing, sounds like the sooner the op the better

Sparkes well done on becoming MWEPP Grin

Yes it's been far too quiet on here Boo sorry for my lack of posts, hope you and liscious are doing well.

I have to say I have been having a really awful time of things since being back from hols. Things seem to have crashed out since getting back, I have been quite inconsolable and then to top it off sil called yesterday to say she is pregnant with their third. I'm happy for them but timing couldn't have been worse for me. I wish she'd at least waited til perhaps the end of the week to say anything. I was so looking forward to today as it is diwali and now just feel even more upset about things. We are going to my folks at the weekend which I am also not looking forward to now as the whole family will be there and everything for me still feels quite raw, it's only been 2 and a half weeks since the end of my ivf cycle. Poor DH has been doing his best to reassure me but I'm finding it a little hard at the moment. Promise my next post will be uplifting but unfortunately for now I may lurk a little...

BeedleTheBard · 13/11/2012 13:04

solars what awful timing ((hugs)) when I hear stories liek that it makes me so thankful that my bro had completed his family (and had the snip!) before we started ttc. I suppose you can at least be thankful that they didn't do a big announcement in front of the whole family at the weekend. Though of course now everyone knows they will presumably want to talk about it. As you say what a shame she couldn't wait until next week.

But don't feel bad about feeling low, we're not only here for the good news you know ((hugs)) Do you say Happy Diwali? Hope you have a good day anyway.

GenericDietCola · 13/11/2012 13:08

Very busy day at work today, but just nipping in to brook for you all and give those that want one a big hug. I'm looking at Solars, Sweetie, Beedle and Geek. And anyone else really!

Would a large wheelbarrow full of chocolate help?

Geeklette · 13/11/2012 13:10

ooh I can never resist a good group hug Smile

solars you poor thing, what awful timing. Did she know you had just had your IVF though? If not that's an awful coincidence. ((hugs)) Take all the time you need, we'll be here for you.

beedle You know the law of boob!

Geeklette · 13/11/2012 13:13

Well, that worked - not! Trying again...

chart

BeedleTheBard · 13/11/2012 13:24

Sorry Geek I can't see any sign of ovulation there, though with all those random +OPKs it does at least sound like your body is trying to release an egg. Oh and can you form an orderly queue outside my bathroom, I don't want to be tripping over you when I get up for a wee in the night :o

CupcakesAndCocktails · 13/11/2012 22:24

Evening All,

Happy Diwali Solars hope you have managed to enjoy the evening. Am so sorry about the bad timing of you SIL's news. No wonder you are upset, is so close to your IVF cycle. Sending you lots of hugs.

Sweetie hope got all the notes/test results you need from the GP. Did DH have a nice birthday? I didn't realise you lived so close to me! I live in north manchester close to bury. I'm just off the m62 so it really doesn't feel far from Yorkshire.

Beedle can't wait for your BFP!!! One of us old timers must be way overdue a BFP.

Sparks yay to becoming a MWEPP! We are very proud Smile

Boo hope you and Boobylicious are well.

Well I've been busy making a million 4 batches of chutney. My house reeks Grin. I sent off our IVF forms this morning. At work today I met a lovely couple with IVF twins. They had unexplained infertility and got pg on first cycle. They had it at the hospital I'm going to, they had the same consultant, & had been trying the same amount of time as us. I'm brooking no arguement ladies that this is a sign Grin
