Oh Griff I'm so sorry. But it will happen. Are you down for any assisted treatment? Or do you have to wait for the three year mark to be referred for ivf?

Hi Gen no the movie didn't really get any better I gave up and read instead. Don't think I will be testing just going to wait for AF, sorry I know it's very unbrooky of me but can't really imagine it happening naturally for us now, in fact I'm feeling a bit of a fraud being on the thread these days

I've had a lovely day with a friend of mine who has just started her first ivf cycle! It was so nice to speak to someone about all of this who knows all the issues of ttc and where you're coming from! Lots of laughter, tears and cake.

Also I've just finished my first ever knitting project a scarf for DH just in time for this cold snap we're having!

keepJinglingThoseBells · 30/11/2012 17:19

NO solars you are no fraud. You are still brooking that you'll get your baby, and being damn proactive about it - lap, antibodies, ivf. Groom ng is not about head-in-sand but just believing we'll get there!!

Griff so sorry. Each month sucks doesn't it?

Just back from a party I was dreading, but had a lovely chat from a girl with 1 ectopic, 1 m/c, 2 ivfs and 6 frosties in the freezer, but her lining is always too thin. So nice to talk to someone in RL, and about local drs...

Those new emoticons look like scot hats to me....?!

keepJinglingThoseBells · 30/11/2012 17:22

What is a 'sweep', sounds hideous...

keepJinglingThoseBells · 30/11/2012 17:22

Scout hats, not scot hats!

WinterSolstice · 30/11/2012 17:26

They are scots hat Keep, but can't figure out what the relevance is? Is it St Andrews day today??

It is lovely to speak to someone in real life about it all isn't it! Have you heard anything from your dr yet Keep?

WinterSolstice · 30/11/2012 17:29

Haha i thought you meant to say scot!!

I have no idea what a sweep involves and I don't think I really want to know....

keepJinglingThoseBells · 30/11/2012 17:38

Oh I thought they were meant to be Xmas hats

No word frombastard doctor. Guess I'll just wait till Monday, should be fine. Maybe sobbing was over-reacting...

Let's not think about it for 8-9 months then!

JenFrankincenseAndMyrrh · 30/11/2012 17:39

Yes it is St Andrews day

A sweep is something the MW will do to help get labour started if you are overdue. Basically it's is a finger up the fanjo stretching your cervix open and sweeping 3 times around in a circle. It sounds worse than it is, I had 4 and would describe them as uncomfortable rather than painful.

GenericDietCola · 30/11/2012 18:56

Solars you are no fraud - you are still TTC, just going about it a bit differently now. I'm still brooking for you! Glad you and keep have people to talk to in RL, it's such a help.

Happy Friday everyone - December tomorrow - whoop!

musicalmrs · 01/12/2012 06:14

Thanks to the new MN Android app I should be able to keep up with you all more easily :-)

What do we want? Positive pee sticks!

Biscuitsandtinsel · 01/12/2012 06:34

Aaaah, but have you tried reading your post back on the android app? If it is the same as the updated iPhone one, anything you put in >< disappears! I have to put them backwards like that or else, of course, they'd disappear! It's a there to read if you're on the mobile site pages.

Abs the smileys are different so Hmm looks a lot more frowny and less of a raised eyebrow.

[comes back and wanders off again muttering about the rubbish app update for those using the new app]

Biscuitsandtinsel · 01/12/2012 06:36

(Realises that even ][ brackets make things disappear and has to wander off AGAIN muttering about the rubbish new app)

Biscuitsandtinsel · 01/12/2012 06:45

(Comes back again)

Just remembered I wanted to say Hi to Griff and congratulate you on becoming a brooker and thus confirming your pregnancy Smile

I am another postgrad brooker - I joined the brookers in June 2011 and that turned out to be the cycle I got my BFP, after 19 months of nothing. We had been to the fertility clinic and had a HSG so this may have helped too but my money is on the brooking. I had Clomid ready to go from my next cycle (even though I ovulated perfectly normally). So brooking is literally scientifically proven to get results Smile. Seriously though the lovely ladies here (and on the ante natal thread and others are on the post natal thread) really really helped me deal with something so so so hard. I hope you can find an agreeable pee stick soon (as being a brooker means you MUST be pg, it's just a matter of finding a pee stick that agrees with you Smile)

(Leaves croissants and tea for all)

Biscuitsandtinsel · 01/12/2012 06:48

Oh, no, ][ don't make things disappear, it's because I inadvertently used a pair of >< in my ranty post about the app.

SparklySanta · 01/12/2012 07:15

griff welcome to the first day of your pregnancy!! Flipping AF doesn't know where she is not wanted!! Be kind to yourself week but then get ready for some serious swi!!!

SparklySanta · 01/12/2012 07:20

solars you are no fraud!!! We might be in the conception thread BUT we're about brooking in general!! Whether that's brooking for a BFP, or something else, it's all the same!! How many times have we all supported each other through something completely non TTC related? Didn't fluffy lose her job? And boos husband lost his! So we brooked!! And when my nan was poorly you all brooked for her!! So we'll never ever stop brooking for you!!

MissLToeishavingsantasbabyboo · 01/12/2012 09:14

Solars you are a brooker, and you will let you bfp!

Sparks Brooking for your scan today (I think it is today) Brooking anyway :)
