Here we go ladies...this really IS it for us all!

Thanks ladies, you talk some sense!! I have had a think and must admit I'm feeling much more positive now, we did after all DTD on both of the days that I had the smiley (Sat and Sun) so hopefully some swimmers were stored up for the day after - assuming I did ov on the Monday! Just wishing this time away now to find out! May need to test on 8th now rather than the 4th - will see how it goes next week!

Plan to stick with the temps for the time being but going to use the cb opk next month again if no BFP as really liked seeing the smiley! Lots of you are approaching ov time - I find that time the best in the cycle :) I have a baby shower to go to tonight so lots of baby talk, and no doubt questions of when will it be our turn! Ugh wish me luck ;)

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Been to see a homeopath and acupuncturist in last few days. Feel really positive about seeing them. Now have remedies to take and am going to be having weekly acupuncture.

I got a +ve on tesco ov stick today but I'm only CD8 - does that seem too early?

letskiwithisthing glad FF and CB OPKs are agreeing! I've just order some CB OPKs today - think they might be easier to read than the tesco ones! Hope the baby shower is ok.

Woody I'm using IPeriod and my days. Also lady timer. I've downloaded a new one today. They all seem to disagree when I should ov. The fact that cycle is longer after mc is not helping.
I'm going with cheap opk one more month and then move on to cb if no result.
My biggest challenge is sex on demand from DH. He is not a fan of pressure.

Dulcet have you not heard that? I thought it was in the Zita book too. Apparently if you DTD the days leading up to OV you have a higher chance of having a girl because girls swimmers pace themselves while boy swimmers swim faster and exhaust themselves so they're not so likely to have the energy to hang about and wait for the egg. Typical men, rushing and not getting the job done :-)

Pear you must be beyond excited to have seen a heart beat! You had a tougher start than many and deserve a bit of peace now.
I think u r right regarding boys and girls sperm however even if u shagged on day of smiley and conceived, you could have had some girl swimmers left from a previous shag that got that faster. So my understanding is that it could still be either. Are you going to find out on scan?

Well that's interesting pear, don't remember it from zita but I don't remember it all. You'll find out soon enough though. We can test the theory!

Morning all...bloody typical, on a day we CANNOT have sex due to driving to and from London for a gig (8 hours' drive) I get my smiley.

DTD again last night and will tomorrow though. My app has OV as tomorrow though, so fx!

Lol I didn't DTD that month before my smiley. My GP told me to test the theory she had been told by the fertility clinic to only DTD on the day of the smiley and 5 days after in case your partner has weak sperm. She wondered whether we were exhausting our chances by doing it so much before the smiley. I'm not sure if her theory was correct because I do kind of feel it might have been the first time my body ovulated since coming off the pill. We will never know but her theory could be true. It's 50/50. Anyway, we will deffinately be finding out the sex in Jan!!

Yay for the smiley! Sounds like you should be packing plenty if the little dudes down there. Could you squeeze in an early/late one if it makes you feel better?

So the baby shower went well, she knows she is having a little boy so lots of blue things around! Had a few vino's with some childless friends and learnt a lot about c sections and labour! Only had one question of 'when's it your turn?' so all in all a good night!

I heard you have a better chance shagging before OV as you've swimmers waiting, contrary to what your GP said, Peardrop. Definitely no hope today as we have to drive 200 miles home after the gig and I'm at work tomorrow. Will squeeze another in tomorrow evening, even if I'm exhausted after 3 hours' sleep.

And yes, AF / BFP now due on wedding day. I won't be testing! It's 13th, by the way.

Nicola yeah you're right about DtD ups chances before you OV, however, my GPs theory only applies to those men who may have sluggish sperm. My DH was tested years ago for another reason and he says they told him one of his ahem...balls produces less then the other. This is why the GP thought it would be a good idea for us to test this theory (saving up swimmers until needed) Sorry if I didn't explain myself very well earlier, I may have confused matters!

Dulcet I'm sure you will love it once you get into the swing of things. I do understand how you feel though, it's a bit like walking into the unknown for some! Let us know how it goes :-) exciting!!

Dulcet - I wasn't sure I'd like wedding dress shopping, but once u get into it, it's quite good fun. Just wear decent undies!!! And make sure u stop for !!!

So it's day 26 in my cycle 2day & I don't think it's worked this month, I'm not holding out much hope for a BFP.
Had a very productive morning tho, dh & I put a roof on the chicken run & put some woodchip type stuff down for them!! Think the chckens are happy tho, they're getting all my maternal love!!!

I'm watching the great British bake off now, getting tempted to do some baking this afternoon before cooking the first roast of this season!! Keep myself busy!!

Oh I loved wedding dress shopping! But found it impossible to choose. Who are you taking with you dulcet?
