woody it's just brilliant news that you've conceived so quickly again. It's a nerve wracking time though so I can imagine in your scenario you must be extra nervous! Take everyday as it comes easier said then done!

Thundernonk · 23/10/2012 06:29

FX hannah

Thank you peardrop how are you doing? Yes, I am nervous but I know that there is no reason why this one won't work out. Hopefully all will be ok.

HannahJayne · 23/10/2012 10:25

Sorry. Was sulking, and mentally slapping myself for testing early (again).

I'm very (very) teary today which could be BF(F)N-related, or impending arrival of AF-related. Just cross at myself.

Need. A. Holiday.

MrsBri · 23/10/2012 10:31

Sorry, Hannah. :-(

Fx it's just too early.

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 23/10/2012 12:12

Hi Ladies,

  • didn't have a good day yesterday, I found out a lot about someone I was friends with and cant believe someone could do that.
  • I did write the whole happenings out, but as it was TTC related I didn't want to upset you girls, as it left me in tears and so angry! Needless to say I wont be seeing her ever again!
  • on another happier note, my boobs have been tingling all day :)

Sorry Hannah, hopefully AF will stay away and you can get your +ve in a few days :).

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 23/10/2012 12:19

Blockette - are u ok? If u need to vent then please do, (very unmumsnetty) hugs to u.

Hannah - maybe to early still - you're not out till the bitch af arrives!!

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 23/10/2012 14:21

basically,

a very good friend of my DH (M) has been going out/living with this girl for 3 years, so naturally I got to know her as well.
After a few months together she wanted to TTC, M at that time had a newborn with another girl (long story). They where TTC for 2 years, and in this time she was very easy to upset, and refused to spend time/see M's other baby as it made her upset that she wasn't pregnant yet. So after 2 years they went for tests and she was given tablets or something to help. So in Feb she got her positive (lucky thing!). Just over a month later M had an op on his knee, but had a bad reaction to the Meds so was in ICU for a while.
While waking up in ICU M found his girlfriend crying, and she told him she had tokophobia (fear of pregnancy and/or childbirth), so was going to have a termination.
Being against abortion he begged her not to, but she turned around and said that as he was stuck in ICU he couldn't stop her. So against his wishes and begs, she went ahead.
M tried to get over it, and due to the tokophobia he tried to get past it and give their relationship another go, without TTC. - In Aug she got another +ve because she stopped taking her pill without telling him.

She has just had her second termination in one year.

M has moved out. (although has promised to help her get though the 2nd termination, but won't ever forgive her for either of them.)

I can't believe TTC for 2 years then going ahead with 2 terminations like that! surely she thought about the pregnancy and birth before/during TTC? I mean, this couldn't have just come to her over night? and if it did, and your phobia was so bad, stopping your pill without letting your partner know is just incredible!
I'm sure I was shocked by it more, sitting here hoping for a +ve! and possibly over emotional but I just can't think of her as a friend any-more, and am so glad M has walked away.

But I could never imagination any of you girls TTC for 2 years! then having a termination because, Oh yeah, I'm scared of being pregnant/child birth. - I would like to add that a few of her friends have children, and she is the oldest of 4, so saw her mother and friends have children, She KNEW what was involved! - I just cant believe it! M is devastated.

-wow, super long rant is over.

MrsBri · 23/10/2012 14:46

Goodness, she sounds awful. I'm not surprised by how you feel.

Poor, poor M :-(

peardrop2 · 23/10/2012 17:36

Block that's really shocking. As MrsBri says not surprising how you feel at all. Sad for M :-(

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 23/10/2012 18:56

That's really hard to get ur head around Block, and must be so very hard for M.
No wonder u were so upset, I think ttc makes u really think through life, I must have thought through our future so many times.

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 23/10/2012 22:25

Thank you, - anyway, moving on!

Any already pg ladies not really feel any symptoms? I have a tiny bit of back ache, and feel slightly sicky (could be making it up in hope) on and off, but mainly in the evening, my one boob boobs did tingle a bit early but has stopped now - but apart from that I actually feel quite well, which is dampening my hopes tbh :(

Did anyone else feel pretty much ok in their 2ww, but still got a bfp? hopes

peardrop2 · 24/10/2012 03:05

Block DPO 1 I recorded bright orange FMU and slight burping, then nothing until DPO 8 when I recorded burping and slight tingly boobs and then on DPO 9 I recorded still burpy and felt like something was stuck in my throat (you know the feeling). DPO 10 still burpy. DPO 11 woke up with v bad constipation and got BFP. Hope that helps?! TG for Period App to help me remember ;-) Remember that everyone is different. I've not read of anyone on MN who's suffered with constipation quite as bad as I've experienced but I haven't had any MS so you get good and bad :-)

MrsBri · 24/10/2012 07:17

Before my BFP I had a little burping, distinctly less CM than the 2 previous months I'm sure I ovulated and a head cold.

I had to take a sprint to the loo 8dpo because I thought I was going to throw up.

Have slept badly since 8dpo too. Still do.

The day before my BFP we were meeting friends and I just could not face beer (my poor baby, I turned to fruit cider instead!).

Since the BFP, occasional nausea, but not often and I'm not sick, still windy at both ends, ha ha! A bit crampy too.

I am a little constipated, but nothing like Pear.

Weird bloody dreams almost every night.

But I'm not feeling too bad. Having said that, I've not been at work, so getting back into the swing of it will be interesting and show my true levels of tiredness.

MrsBri · 24/10/2012 07:20

Oh yes...my boobs are taking over the world. Forgot that one!

They were sore from pre-OV, so I refused to look at them as a symptom. After OV they got a bit heavier and larger. Since the BFP they've been making a bid for freedom! Much bigger and much heavier. And sore to touch the sides.

I may keep prodding them to check!

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 24/10/2012 09:27

lol Thank you! I wont loose hope just yet then!

Hopfully my BFP is just making a very civilised entry lol :)

I've still got another week or so to go, do we have anyone else waiting to test?

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 25/10/2012 07:37

I've just started the 2ww!! It remains to be seen if I can wait 2 weeks before poas!! Grin

Lolcbcblemonlime · 25/10/2012 07:58

I've gone quiet as I was driving myself insane. Ended 2ww today with af right on time. At least my cycle seems to be regular again.

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 25/10/2012 10:00

Oh sorry for you AF lol - but as you say, at least you have a regular cycle so will be able to try again soon. - I'm sure I will be in the same position in a week!

PFN are too depressing, so I will wait until the Saturday I think as AF is due Halloween! which also happens to be our 9 year anniversary together :) so don't want that ruined with a -ve.

Good luck with your 2ww Raspberrys! Stay strong and away from those sticks!

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 25/10/2012 10:01

[hgrin]

Thundernonk · 25/10/2012 15:24

Sorry hannah and lol

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 25/10/2012 19:01

Sorry lol, fx for next cycle.
