Here we go ladies...this really IS it for us all!

OP posts:
HannahJayne · 15/10/2012 18:38

That's crap Dulcet, and Batfink (catching up on the weekend's posts). Your time will come, in the meantime I very much like tal's port/pâté/unwashed salad approach.

I'm about 5dpo and trying to forget about it. With work and rugby training we only DtD on smiley day - and I'm not that lucky! At least AF will mean I can drink on my AI holiday to Tunisia on the 28th - positive mental attitude and all...

Talyra · 15/10/2012 21:48

Oooh Tunisia sounds fabulous! Proper envy! Just what you need this time of year too :)

letskiwithisthing · 16/10/2012 07:04

Wow Tunisia sounds fab Hannah, hope you had a good trip to Rome Woody and Nic, hope you're having a fantastic honeymoon in Iceland :)

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 16/10/2012 09:07

ohh everyone is going off on holiday! so jealous! we had ours early this year so it seems forever since I saw the sun :(

Hope you all have a fab time! while the welsh weather tries to drown me

no news here, seems like we are all mid-cycle, but that means BFP's all together in a few weeks! :)

Lolcbcblemonlime · 16/10/2012 13:22

Where is woody??? Maybe hiding a bfp!??
I'm off to Iceland for a short break in nov and can't wait!
The only thing that takes my mind off ttc is holiday planning at the moment!
Will now start working on Cuba for jan and maybe somewhere else for Easter. An exotic break in Europe. Any ideas??

Thundernonk · 16/10/2012 13:35

Come back woody!!

All these holidays are making me jealous too!

lol, not Europe but not far away- I had a great holiday in Gambia in Feb one year. I'm more of an 'off the beaten track' type, so avoided all the resorts and had a fantastic time. I understand people can be pushy in resorts which was the opposite of what we experienced there elsewhere.

Also I understand Morocco's great fun for an adventure. Never been myself, and know it's pretty hectic, but in a fun, colourful experience kind of way. Just a thought....

Lolcbcblemonlime · 16/10/2012 13:37

Thanks thunder. How far is Gambia? We only have 3/4 nights for Easter.
Been to Morocco and did enjoy it.

Thundernonk · 16/10/2012 13:59

I think it was about 5.5 hours. We only went for a week, chose it because it was just about do-able flight length in order to get into a lovely bit of Africa and have a different kind of adventure! Sardinia is lovely too btw, and closer!

HannahJayne · 16/10/2012 14:39

I can't wait. Haven't had more than a day's annual leave since last Christmas. We had a new kitchen and bathroom this summer instead of a holiday!

Where's Woody? Want to hear about Rome and/or other news!!

MrsBri · 16/10/2012 15:10

Lol...be prepared to be cold in November. Barely above freezing today. Gorgeous and sunny though. :-)

Just chilling in our apartment before heading out again.

Decided against a 3.5 hour ice hike while we are here. I would want to fall over and I'm not sure I would have the energy. Shame, but got to be sensible.

MrsBri · 16/10/2012 15:11

*wouldn't want

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 16/10/2012 15:15

Hannah! how can you cope that long!

Woody come back to us!!!!

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 16/10/2012 15:18

x post! Hi Nic! Hope you're having a lovely time, and yes that does sound sensible.

I'm sure you will find loads to do instead, but honeymoons are about relaxing anyway. :)

MrsBri · 16/10/2012 17:20

Too right...just woken from a nap!

Got lots of other stuff planned, including a visit to a glacier. :-)

Northern Lights trip tonight too. If it isn't too cloudy.

DulcetMoans · 16/10/2012 18:56

We talked about Iceland for our honeymoon over the weekend so let us know what you think. Obviously preferably I will win one of the dozens of competitions I have entered for honeymoons and get a free one!!

HannahJayne · 16/10/2012 19:07

Oh I'm soooo jealous. I am so desperate to see the northern lights.

block I'm going stir crazy. I've even booked a trip for New Year's because I'm so desperate for a holiday - didn't think that after Tunisia I won't be quite so desperate!

DulcetMoans · 16/10/2012 19:07

Had to post as was on message number 666! I don't want to be stuck on 666!

MrsBri · 16/10/2012 19:43

It is amazing so far...just seen an awesome sunset over the water. I have absolutely no doubt in saying I wouldn't have wanted anything more from a honeymoon! Jaw droppingly beautiful so far.

Northern Lights trip is on tonight...fingers crossed we see them.

peardrop2 · 17/10/2012 01:27

Hello. I fell asleep at 6 and woke up at 9pm and since now have been unpacking the very last of our boxes from the move. Guess what I found? Yep I found my One step cheap Internet tests!! I still had 9 left in the envelope so I used two and I can confirm that they do work! Nicola and I were never sure if they worked because they were so flimsy and cheap. Unfortunately I can't tell you how early they work but I can say that if you're pregnant you will get the two lines within 2 seconds, it's pretty quick. Dulcet if and when I get to the 12 week mark I will pop them in the post to you, feel it is bad luck to post them before sad I know! So just letting you ladies know that the cheap one step tests from eBay/Amazon do actually work!

Nicola sounds breathtaking :-)

MrsBri · 17/10/2012 01:47

I'm too scared to do more tests! Ridiculous really. I have none left though, so no temptation anywhere.

We vaguely saw weak Northern Lights earlier. Shame they weren't performing properly though. Still good, however. Bastard freezing outside, mind you.

DulcetMoans · 17/10/2012 09:58

Aw thanks pear, that is really kind of you. There will be more pregnant ladies than TTC before long. That's how we want it though I am sure!

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 17/10/2012 14:07

Ahh Nic I'm so jealous! I would love to see the Northern Lights (even weak ones)!

Funnily enough DH and I were talking about it the other night. - although he didn't sound too convinced :(

HannahJayne · 17/10/2012 18:59

I'd take weak northern lights any time - I was trying to persuade DH to go to the Lakes last week when they were out.

After promising I wouldn't I'm now in the middle of the 2ww symptom spotting. Need to stop poking my boobs to see if they've magically become tender. I get weird looks...

MrsBri · 17/10/2012 19:58

You need to perfect the surreptitious boob squeeze using the inside of the top of your arms. Works a treat!

We are only 90 minutes or so from the Lakes, so may end up heading there next time they show!

woody17 · 17/10/2012 20:18

Hi everyone - got back from Rome late last night. Had a lovely time.

nicola/MrsBri Massive congratulations on your BFP and your wedding - it just seems like perfect timing. Glad that you had a lovely wedding day and your honeymoon sounds fab - I'd love to see the Northern Lights.

Talyra hope you get your test results back soon. It must be hard having to wait a few months.

Sorry about the cp batfink

Sorry af arrived dulcet Sad

Hannah hope the 2ww goes by quickly for you.

Well, I have tested and only had a BFN so far. However, the nausea has continued and my boobs are now hurting all over - painful all the time and tender to the touch all over. I saw my acupuncturist again today and she thought the signs sounded good. So I'm still hopeful! I'm only on cd26 so it might just be too early to show yet...I really hope so anyway. Going to test with a FRER on Saturday!
