I saw a white line where positive line should have been. it disappeared when test dried. I did two frer though and it happened on both. hmmm. (probably clutching at straws but its not over til AF shows)

My uterus is trolling me again with spotting. It's definitely not period because it's discharge tinged with blood. It did the same last cycle and got my hopes up for nothing!

I had that last cycle too, Tal...was really hopeful, then the next day, full on AF (during DTD, nice :-/ ).

Why has the word 'next' got a link to it on my previous post? :-/ Is it just me that can see it?

Is that a good sign tal? I think I had that earlier but assumed AF was maybe coming so ignored it. Was barely there but I saw it.

Good old AF. Likes to arrive with a bang! That's happened to me before, always a bit of a shock - both times were during quite enthusiastic sex, and I didn't even notice until afterwards when the man I was with mentioned I might want to go clean up. Murder on the sheets.

Dulcet I think last cycle I decided it must be implantation bleeding, but it came to nothing and a few days later my period arrived as usual. So I'm not getting my hopes up this time.

I can't see the link, but I did read a thread somewhere saying MN was doing it for money from certain companies. Maybe they only show up in certain browsers. I'm using firefox at the moment.

Yeah, same Tal, AF just arrives. I don't normally spot or anything. All or nothing. I guess we will both know if it means anything in a couple of days!

Not sure about testing nic. Will wait until Monday I think. That would be the earliest AF would be due.

Do you reckon your CD9 surge was wrong and you missed the real surge somehow, Dulcet? Otherwise your luteal phase is a touch too long :-/

I don't know to be honest nic. I carried on looking for the smiley until CD20 and never found another. Until this month I worried it might have been too short! haha. I was probably better off in ignorance of how this whole TTC thing works. Raises more questions than it answers!

dulcet and tal hope you get your bfps. Dulcet the ic that I have aren't that sensitive - I normally get lines on FRER and CB digital before they show anything.

I think I am 6/7 dpo (not 3/4-I don't seem to be able to add). Trying desperately not to ss but have been feeling nauseous almost constantly since yesterday, have lots of creamy cm, very tired and getting painful twinges in boobs and twinges in lower abdomen!

Bit of a random question but how often should you dtd over a week after the smiley?

They say you OV 12-36 hours after the smiley and the egg lives for up to 24 hours. So that gives you 36-60 hours where you could get pregnant, or 2.5 days.

I think DTD the day of and after smiley is recommended.

I missed day of (only by a couple of minutes though as we finished just before midnight!) and did it the day after. Thought about doing the next day too, but didn't.

Not sure how many times over that period though.

Yeah, what nic said really woody. I think generally the day before and the three days after are considered the best times so whenever you can over that time. Obviously harder to judge the day before as you don't know it's coming!

So from a few days after the smiley, dtd isn't going to get you pg?

You have to do what we did and just shag loads! We did the 3 days prior and day after, but I knew it was imminent.

No, probably not, Woody...it's really a very small window after. It's better to already have sperm waiting, in a way, then just topping these up when you get the smiley.

Got another negative today, had some more spotting too and cramping. Not overly optimistic now (15 dpo) but I guess it's not over until the full-on bleeding arrives. If it hasn't worked we have to take a break from trying for two cycles, which we both feel a bit shit about :(

Ok I'm really confused - got my smiley on CB Ov Sticks on Monday but this morning I've had ewcm, properly stretchy and sticky, exactly like the stuff you're supposed to get when you're most fertile. But I've had no more smileys on the sticks? Any ideas? If I was ov now, it would make more sense with my usual length of cycle etc but this is a wtf cycle. Any ideas?
