We filled the last one so I thought I would start no 2.

Ahh red I know it sucks doesn't it - like being turned down for the best job in the world every single month.

I have to admit to having similar feelings myself. It's weird - being a mother is the only thing I've ever been sure I wanted to do, but now we're here it's like I just can't picture it actually happening. I know I'm not being rational, but it's like a gut feeling that I can't shake. I even mentioned it to DH a couple of weeks ago after a glass or two of wine and he said he sometimes felt the same. Which helped LOADS, not. :(

Your DH is right though, we have to try and stay positive for our own sanity. 4 months isn't really that long (same as me actually) in the grand scheme of things.

redstrawberry · 21/08/2012 11:07

It def helps just feel 12months is so so far. It makes it harder when I have to attend baby showers or social dos with the bumps. I told myself I am not going to think about it for a few days. Whatever will be, will be.

AF is due Sunday / Monday - after last month's long cycle. But I have been getting pre-AF symptoms early on.

Sore boobage has started again. weird.

redstrawberry · 21/08/2012 11:13

ah kitten its like you took the words out of my mouth. I was driving in thinking about how I felt at not getting my dream job and this feels just like that. So out of your control - its frustrating. You know you OV, you have sex, time it right, and bam the witch arrives every month!

I also tried to do some positive thinking and thought when I didnt get my dream job, I waited and eventually got something that was even better than my dream job. I ended up very ecstatic and happy. So maybe good things come to those who wait.

6 or 7 months ago - I had a very surreal dream - I was sat on the sofa in the lounge and having a cuddle with my gorgeous DD. I am hoping it comes true. Praying every day it comes true. she was tiny and beautiful.

Kittenkatzen · 21/08/2012 11:19

Hang on to that dream red it will come true! And when it does, you'll be sitting on your sofa holding your DD and remembering when you had the dream, and then you'll come back on here and tell us all about it! :o

resipsa · 21/08/2012 11:19

Red I see that you know what you'll be having (DD)!

winkle2 · 21/08/2012 11:35

nic ? I'm so sorry to hear about your little cousin. He is gorgeous, I saw his pic in the paper this morning. Extremely sad.

lol and red ? sorry for BFN's but fingers crossed it's too early.

red and kitten ? I completely understand your fears cause I have felt them too along this crazy ride called TTC. it really is a rollercoaster. some days I feel hopeful, other days I believe it won't happen to me ever. But I'm never happy. Deep down I am not truly happy. I either feel hopeful or sad. My husband feels the same, he's just sad too. He actually spoke to a friend about it the other day which I thought would help him but he's still moping around the house!

Ad for kick I'm not surprised she got banned cause I thought her attitude could rub people up the wrong way but she's always been alright with me so Grin

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/08/2012 12:00

Hang in there red you'll get your dd (or maybe ds).

I know kick could be really blunt a few of her posts made me feel Shock but I quite like more forthright posters. Maybe not so much on the conception threads I feel a bit more sensitive re conceiving. On the other boards though a blunt approach is ok with me.

In a(nother) bored moment at my desk, I looked at where she'd posted. Wow, she was prolific! So many posts about so many things with a lot of personal detail. I only inhabit the TTC threads myself (as talking about it in RL is so much harder) and think I spend quite a lot of time on here but I am really an amateur in comparison to some.

winkle2 · 21/08/2012 12:15

Hey all

Got my rest results back. All normal ? phew!

Only thing a bit low is red blood cell count which relates to iron. So I need to up my protein ? which is funny because I've been doing a low carb diet! Will be stocking up on green leafy veg :D

resipsa · 21/08/2012 12:21

That's great news Winkle. Guess the shagfest will be resumed in earnest next month then!

redstrawberry · 21/08/2012 12:22

thanks when and winkle yes I'll hang on to the dream :)
DD or DS both would be much wanted and loved.

Although I could dream about mother-daughter shopping trips Grin and watching cheesy Sat night TV together.

winkle I admire you for all you've been through.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/08/2012 12:23

Woo hoo winkle looking good. Which tests were they are you still waiting for any or are they all back.

sneaks off to check kicks posts

NicolaHazel · 21/08/2012 12:26

That's fantastic, winkle. :-)

weechops · 21/08/2012 12:39

great news winkle :)

Kittenkatzen · 21/08/2012 12:42

fab news winkle :)

redstrawberry · 21/08/2012 12:52

gosh kick got busy Shock not read them but so many threads!

When I started posting on MN - I joined 3 threads on the conception boards but even that got too much to keep up with - so now I just stick to this one.

I have a life though Wink

Kittenkatzen · 21/08/2012 13:42

I guess she had time on her hands whilst off sick!

I quite often read the other boards when I'm commuting or pretending to be working, and there are some threads which are really interesting/informative/funny or whatever. I stick a toe in every now and again but mostly just lurk as I don't have time to dedicate to fighting a hypothetical argument for hours on end!

That and it can be scary out there!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/08/2012 13:55

She really did spread the word. I thought it was just ttc she knew about but she seems to be an expert in everything.

I have a quick look on AIBU but I am a lurker for the most part.

I go off for a few days and usually come back to a few BFPs. What has been going on!!

nicola Im so so sorry for you and your family's loss. That poor little boy. I cant imagine what you're all going through. I hope they find him soon.

winkle Good news on the tests, lady! Totally understand that you'll be stepping back a bit from TTC and mn-ing. I think its starting to fuel my stress about TTC, which cant be helping. I hope you are DH have some lovely "you" time and you never know.... "They" (whoever THEY are!!) often say its when you give up if sometimes happens.

TBH im not surprised Kick has left, im quite harsh in RL, but she was at harsh and opinionated at olympic level. However, the woman was very knowledgable about a lot of things TTC related.

AF got me on Sunday, as expected. That was last clomid cycle. So back to having l-o-n-g and irregular cycles. Im just so relieved to be of the pills. I was desperate to be on them too. Dreamed of having twins on them - one of each, had their names picked out, the pram i would buy, everything! What an idiot! Ive got an appointment for next month with the gyno - im going to ask for a scan. Im worried that something went wrong with removal of the baby. TBH I think they should have scanned me before plying me with pills.

Dexidoo · 21/08/2012 14:09

Glad to hear your tests are all normal winkle

Sorry for the sad loss in your family nicola

I feel sorry for kick that she has lost the support of the conception forums but I have not always found her style of 'advice' altogether helpful

redstrawberry · 21/08/2012 14:13

Sorry AF arrived RIBS :( I browse Mamas & Papas and pick stuff out too. Its human nature, dont beat yourself about it. If anything, it just shows how much you want it.

Yes they should have scanned before starting you off on clomid. hope the appointment goes well.

winkle2 · 21/08/2012 15:19

Thanks all for your thanks ? all really sweet, feel very privileged to have such nice people out there rooting for me. You're all very kind :) I still need to have the pelvic scan, am waiting for an appointment.

Aw RIBS so sorry :( I'm the same ? or should I say was the same ? I just don't allow myself to get hopeful anymore. Good luck with the gyno appt.

winkle2 · 21/08/2012 15:20

As for mn - I do have a good old read at the 'Active' posts quite regularly - there is so much interesting and different information on here!

winkle2 · 21/08/2012 15:20

Pressed send to soon. I mainly hang out here and the baby names board - I love hearing about baby names!
