I was wondering if anyone is in a similar situation. We have had three sperm analyses, all of which have had normal/good count and motility, but 3-4% morphology. We have been trying over a year, nothing. Nothing found wrong with me yet, I've had bloods and hsg, ultrasound on Friday.

I can't seem to get to an understanding of the impact of this low morphology, do we have only a very small chance? Our consultant said we should try for another year, but I feel that is futile.

I find it so frustrating there is nothing they can do to counter sperm issues. They've said iui is pointless, so it'd be ivf or icsi. We have for 9 months done vitamins, no baths, loose clothes, hardly any booze. We are going to try acupuncture but I am bot hopeful. I find myself wishing it had been an ovulation issue as that seems easier to sort.

Plus, my dh is so upset, says he feels awful for not giving me what I want so much. And I now can't be too upset when af comes, or he feels worse.

Thanks for listening

Hi. I think my DH had the same result - he didn't explain it quite as well as you but said that there were enough of them which moved OK and the problem was that most were deformed. He was told we'd have to be lucky to conceive. DD now 18 months (after 12 months of TTC) so it is possible.
PS 4% morphology is considered "normal" so I really don't think it's a no-hope situation for you. HTH.
