Anyone know anything about chemical pregnancies

Please come and talk to me about them.

I am currently in the middle of my second chemical pregnancy in two months. Does anyone have any insight into what might be causing this.

Both times I tested positive on my due date but the line disappeared a day / a few days later. Last months period was 4 days late this cycles is currently 2 days late.

Is there anything I can do to improve implantation, I really don't want to have to go through this every month. Sorry if this thread brings back difficult memories for people. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi op sorry you are going through this.

I don't know much but I too have had one- I managed to conceive the following month and luckliy that was successful. I wouldn't have known if we had not just started ttc, I would have assumed period was a couple of days late.

All I was told when I mentioned it to my doctor when I went about my following pregnancy is that it is just one of those things that often happens but many women are unaware of it. No help sorry- I do wish I had waited longer to test personally- it was awful getting a 'not pregnant' on a digital test following a positive a couple of days earlier- I had never heard of the term 'chemical pregnancy' before having one (neither had the midwives I mentioned it to after, actually)

If it happens again could be worth checking with the doctor? Wishing you luck x

Thanks for the post and congrats on your successful pregnancy. I guess with chemical pregnancy being so common it isn't that unusual to get two in a row.

Will just have to try try try again

Oh god just been googling early miscarriages. It looks like a line uterine lining is a common cause of chem pregs. Turns out sugar and refined carbs are really bad for your uterine thickness.

My diet is shit. I try to eat well but always eat shit loads of sweets every day. Dh just bought me an ice cream to cheer me up and I just burst into tears. This is all my fault.

It is so not your fault !!! My gp told me chemical pregnancies are really common, i've had 3, she advised me not to test too early to relieve the stress of knowing but i never could, however i have since had 2 babies very close together so there is hope, i think its just a case of the baby cells being right and the conditions for implantation being right, so many variables and so much stress but i'm sure it will all work out soon for you xxxx
