Hi it varies from one clinic to another, google your PCT area to see if you're entitled to any NHS cycles, have you been referred by your GP?

DerbyshireLady · 08/07/2012 20:44

Hi - it depends what treatment you need. Local clinics should have price lists on their websites. You do have to pay all at once in my experience. We have just paid 6,000 for an ICSI cycle (more expensive than regular IVF as husband has sperm issues).

You might be entitled to NHS treatment? There is likely to be a waiting list for this though.
hope this helps. Fertilityfriends is a great website for support.

Oops sorry x post with scarlett!

Think mine was about 5K. We paid in full before treatment on a 12 month interest free credit card and set up a direct debit so it was paid off ASAP.

O.k thank you. I thought it would be about £4000. Eeeek!! We aren't entitled to any help as we have a daughter already. (I've asked) Sad

Good idea about the interest free card. Smile

It's just so much money if it doesn't work.

More like £7k here - list price for a cycle, plus blood tests at £95 a go (13- they coasted me because of risk of OHSS so was in every day for 5 days), plus drugs (1.5k) extra drugs for coasting £300, blastocyst costs £500 extra, assisted hatching another £650. Add in acupuncture every week and twice a day on transfer day and it was nearer £8k. Not cheap. (and it didn't work).

wifeofdoom-I'm sorry to hear that! Sad

It varies hugely. Self-funding at an NHS clinic will usually be cheaper than going private.
