Last summer DH and I decided we would start TTC. I didn't bother with charting or anything figuring at least to start with we'd just shag a lot and see how we got on.

I have a pretty regular 31-33 day cycle and couldn't remember the last time I missed a period. So when my November period (due around the 26th) didn't put in an appearance by early December I tested - but got a BFN.

When it got to mid-January I finally got a bit of light brownish spotting. This went on for about 10 days though and never got heavier. Then the spotting dried up and I got nothing for a few days and then my period finally showed up properly on 1st February.

I put it down to just a one-off weird blip in my system and thought little of it, especially when my March and April periods showed up in a timely manner and were normal.

Next period was due around 3rd of May... and I'm still waiting for it. I've had a few very minor crampy feelings a few times - just like light period pain since it was due but nothing to really show for it - tiny bit of spotting when it was due, and once since. I tested and got a BFN.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any ideas about what the problem could be, or is my reproductive system just mocking me?

Obviously, I will go to the doctor if this continues because I will waste a fortune on pee sticks every time this happens otherwise, but I'd like to be able to go with some idea of what may be wrong with me so I can be more confident with the doctor, not miss out mentioning any small but vital bit of info and not be persuaded that all is well if it probably isn't. (If that makes sense?)

Should add that I am only 31 - so it probably isn't the menopause.
