Lot of us here have. I got to 18months of denile

If you've got to 6months with no period, your GP should do blood to check your thyroid, hormone levels etc. an ultrasound will look for PCOS.

Normally you have to be trying for 1 yr (or 6months if >35) before referral to fertility clinic, but I think if you have 'problems' a keen GP might be able to do this a bit sooner.

Honestly try not to stress too much though. Its apparently not unusual to taken months to get a cycle again, it's just most will by 6months.

I think the above's right, but I waited so long, I got sent pretty quickly to the clinic.

thanks, i guess time will tell, it is just frustrating that no one tells you that you wont just return to 'normal' as soon as you come off the pill.

when you grow up there is so much emphasis on DONT GET PREGANT. then once you make this huge life decision to ttc, 6months with no period is annoying,

i dont know if there are drugs that can promote ovulation again, but not sure how i would feel about 'messing' with my body again, as taking the pill caused this in the first place.

There's all sorts if it comes to that. Clomid is a ovulation inducing tablet, there are injectable similar alternatives. Provera/progesterone will induce a bleed but not make you ov.

If you look through the threads, loads of us are on/have been on something. As a means to an end, even if it is just more homonal messing.

thanks for your info, i am trying not to stress, but the more you try not to think about it, the more you do.

it is encouraging to read all the threads here as i havent told anyone that we are trying
