oooohhh I hope so!!!
I have been off depo since october and am waiting for ovulation. I just had a feeling that I might be ovulating and I have been getting cramping pains. First test was the type where you have to detect differences in lines, even hubby said it looked positive! But good news about the 4 hours thing. Me and DH will be BDing tonight my friend workes at kings as an embriologist she is very good! Seeing her tonight for advice!

Twiglett, I wrote to consultant to ask about LPD and he said that he didn't recognise it as a 'real' complaint - not sure why - spoke to his secretary and awaiting the 'official' letter any day.
I have to say I was rather surprised as I have read alot about it. Have written to another for a second opinion!
How does clomid help?
He said that not much time between ov and AF was more likely an indication of ovulating problems - maybe that is helped by the clomid?
I had clomid for 3 months a couple of years ago and fell pg the next month when I stopped!!
Does clomid stay in your system I wonder?!

Have changed my nickname to coggy as my last one was not very 'user friendly' (C0206)!! Hopefully this one is easier to remember!

my consultant said that you need a minimum amount of time for a fertilised egg to implant in your womb ..

as I understand it (though I might be wrong) if your womb lining starts to disintegrate (start of period) before the egg has implanted how will it manage to implant?

she said that it should be TEN days .. mine was regularly 8

she said that the clomid was just to give my system a boost and kick-start the hormones to work properly .. she said other consultants believed in progesterone implants but that she thought this was less likely to be effective

my hormone tests were normal .. by blood test

That is VERY interesting. I thought the same about if the lining is breaking down etc.
I will wait and see what my other consultant says - I'm under two from different places so hopefully he will be a bit more specialised in these things.
My cycle used to vary from 28 - 32 days but since ttc, it has been a regular 28 days with only 8 or 9 days for conception and implantation.
I wonder why there is so much variety in thought between 'experts'??
No wonder we find it difficult to work these things out!!!
