Hi ladies,

No period since Christmas Eve (we've been ttc since October). I've had menstrual cramps for three days but with no period arriving and my nipples have pale yellowish patches in the centre. I took a test two and a half weeks ago that was negative, but I'm starting to wonder if it was just too early. Since it's a pain to try to see my GP (uncivilised opening hours), I wanted to get a a second (third, fourth, fifth, etc) opinion before booking an appointment. Has anyone experienced these symptoms and then turned out to be preggers?

Thanks!

Well generally you need to get a positive test and then get a booking in appt with the midwives directly, you don't see a GP at all. The big clue is your missing period from the end of January. You need to test again. If its still negative and still no period then you should contact your GP in case all is not well in there.

Your GP won't generally give you a test to do, they rely on you doing your own. Even if they did it would be no different from one you could buy in a supermarket.

Take another test. if you are pregnant it ought to be positive by now.
If it is negative, then you need to see a gp regardless of the inconvenient hours to find out what is up with your missing period. Missing periods and not being pregnant is not great if you are ttc and if there is something up you will want to get it seen to as soon as possible so you can get back on with ttc.

Thanks, both. Will have another go!
