AF 12 days late, pregnancy tests negative

What's going on?

I am TTC my 3rd child.

I have sensitive boobs/nipples (on-off), feel exhausted, nausea, and no period. But I have done 3 tests now, every 3/4 days since period was due, and all have said negative. I even dismantled the plastic case on one test to see if there was a postive line hiding somewhere underneth it... Blush Grin

The only thing I can think is that I got married on the day my period was due. I spent the day willing it not to come. Maybe I wished too hard! Wink

The wedding was very relaxed, I wasn't remotely stressed about it, so I don't think lack of period is stress related. Saying that, I am an emotional wreck at this time of year generally (4 year anniversary of my daughter's death in a few weeks), and I know grief and anniversaries do horrible things to me physically. So maybe it is stress related... sigh It probably is just that isn't it? :(

Additionally, I am breastfeeding, but my son is nearly 3, periods returned aaaages ago. Could I be not ovulating or something because of breastfeeding? We've been TTC for 7 months.

I'd really appriciate any words of wisdom.
Thanks! :)

8 days late here and still no sign of AF although it has felt like it's been on it's way for about 2 weeks - had sore nipples, crampy pains in my tummy, mood swings etc but nothing.

I've done well cos so far I haven't tested since Monday morning.

I posted a couple of weeks back with a very similar story, I'm about 3 or four weeks late but with v irregular AF cycle - my last one was 2nd Jan!! I had about 4 negative tests so went to see the doctor, she said she'd book me in for blood tests if this continues.

Anyway, I had a bit of cramping yesterday so randomly decided to do an OPK (after doing them for 4 weeks and finally giving up on them about a month ago) and I FINALLY got an LH surge. This is the one and only time I have detected it in about four months. What are the chances of that happening on the one day I decide to test?! I must know my body better than I think I do.

So I can only assume that I haven't ovulated for the whole of 2012 so far, but hopefully it is happening today. Better get busy if this is the one chance we get in the next three months!

I'm not stressed, not ill, haven't lost weight, put on weight etc etc, so I have no idea why I seemingly haven't ovulated until now (hopefully). Doctor said it was because I had just come off Cerazette which is apparently very effective at preventing ovulation.

My goodness, TTC is a mental rollercoaster ride isn't it!

Plum, a rollercoaster it certainly is! Let's hope your fortuitous test is a good omen for this attempt.

Nappyaddict - do tell how your test goes when you decide to do it. Good luck!

I have ordered some more tests off a more reputable Ebay seller. I didn't do my research with the last ones I bought. They claimed to be NHS suppliers but the tests came with no instructions and made in the USA plastered across the front. There was no details of the manufacturer and they also didn't have a CE mark or registration number printed on the foils, so I think they might be duffs.
