Positive pt 29.1.12
Clear blue digital 2-3 weeks 5.2.12
Internal scan 11.2.12 - nothing seen, uterine walls too thick to hold pregnancy.
first HCG results 26
Second HCG result 27
Third HCG result 30
Progesterone level 44
Next scan friday17th
I have had variations of bleeding since my period on the 19.1.12

I would guess that you ovulated around the 14th then the bleeding you got from the 19th was implantation spotting and not a period (but seemed like a period cos you have a thick uterine wall). Then you got BFP around the 29th (roughly 15 days after ov on 14th and therefore around the time you would've been due your period, this also fits in with clearblue result). No idea why the scan didn't detect anything but seems to me that you're pregnant. Although saying that I have no idea what HCG and prog levels should be during pregnancy so can't comment on that but it looks like HCG is going up.

I could be talking bollocks though, just the way I interpreted it. Sure someone else will be along soon.

FX for your scan on Friday

Thanks for your input :) all i have been told is possible delayed miscarriage or ectopic.

HCG levels are meant to double every 48-72 hours and that was taken over 6 days so not that great really .

Sorry to say but this sounds like a failing ectopic pregnancy - Small gestation sacs can be seen in the uterus but ones implanting outside are difficult to find on ultrasound, and it is not unusual to have a period type bleed and have an ectopic.
The fact that your hCG levels are rising even though very slowly is something that needs to be kept an eye on and you may need to have blood tests until the levels fall.
So sorry.
