Nicotine replacement and TTC

i thought we were finally ready to TTC this month, when DH announced that he needs to stop the nicotine lozenges first. I've googled and can find nothing at all to suggest that him taking these means we need to wait.

It wouldn't be so bad, but he stopped smoking a couple of years ago and shows no sign of even cutting down on the damn things!

I don't think it's cold feet, I think he genuinely believes we shouldn't be TTC, but is there any basis for this?

I am still chewing nicotine gum and finding it hard to stop. I asked a couple od GP's I know whether it might make a difference for TTC and they didn't think so. There must be another reason for his reluctance.

I don't think there is, he seems to genuinely believe this, maybe I should suggest he talks to his GP?

I dont think it's the nicotene that affects a baby, more all the cancer causing toxins and carbon monoxide.

Go and see your doctor, I'm a podiatrist, anything I tell my dh about health is ignored until he reads it in The Telegraph and then suddenly it's gospel.
