When to go to the doctor, and what happens?

Hi

Hope someone can advise please.

Have just started my seventh period since having DC1, have been TTC since then (well, before they returned really, but less hopefully!). I am nearly 38. I heard if you were over 35 you didn't have to wait a full year of TTC before seeing the doctor. Do I make an appointment for ASAP, and can someone please tell me what the doctor is likely to do or ask, and what happens next. Thanks.

I went with DH.
Doctor said that he didn't think I was likely to get seen after 6 months even though I am 36!
However he did get DH sorted for a SA after I pushed the matter a little. DH just needed to let his doctor know.
They also wanted to test that I was up to date with all my vaccinations etc, which and over zealous doctor had actually checked a couple of years ago.

It looks like AF is heading this way so after we have had the results of DH's second SA early next month I am going to try again and try and see a different doctor.

I understand it's usually only 6 months to wait when over35.
The NICE guidelines are very comprehensive and may be useful to take along to gp if not getting anywhere. Good luck.
