I am basically wondering how to work out when I am ovulating due to last period being late. Basically I have been clockwork around the 17th of each month since I had dd, but didn't come on till 23rd last month, no idea why, it just came late.
I am trying to figure out when I am ovulating next based on that, if anyone can help? My cycles are around 30 days long.

My cycles are all to pot still, 10 months after giving up breast feeding my 18m old DS. As far as I can figure out the only ways to tell are ewcm, temps and ovulation sticks (or cbfm if you're feeling flush!).
I'm going to try cheap ov sticks first then will go with clear blue monitor if no luck in few cycles.

Good luck to you!

You calculate your next ovulation from the first day of your last period.

Do you know how many days you usually have between your period and ovulation? If you do, count out that many days from the 23rd, and that should be the date that you'll ovulate.

E.g. if you have 15 days from period to ovulation, 23rd Dec + 15 days is 7 Jan (I think!).

Are you on fertilityfriend.com? I find it really helpful to detect ovulation and keep track of everything. it's free to sign up. it calculates/estimates everything for you automatically. If you have a basal body thermometer (they're cheap if you haven't got one), it tracks an interprets your temperatures to predict/confirm ovulation. it's really really ace, super accurate.
