I think you'd have to go private unfortunately. No harm in asking your GP though.

no harm in going to your GP , but in most areas f the country you would unfortunately not be eligable for assisted conception on the NHS as you alreadt have children. TBH the problem does not seem to be getting pregnant - rather staying pregnant.......so I would keep trying if you can face it....Good Luck

I don't think there's any harm in going to your GP, even if it's only to point you in the right direction. Are you thinking that you may need IVF because of the lost tube? (Am an IVF veteran). You won't be eligible for NHS treatment but should be eligible for any initial investigations etc and lesser forms of fertility treatment if appropriate. Have you had your miscarriages investigated? Eg, to find out if you have any clotting issues? Some clotting issues are easily solvable by taking low dose aspirin, heparin, eg.

Probably not much help to you but good luck.

I'm 35, I have not had anything investigated for the miscarriages, as figured I had two children conceived very easily and it was just a thing that happened.
I had a further laproscopic procedure in Sept as my ovary which had lost the tube had adhered to another part of my tummy, 2 inches out of place, causign severe pain, this has been sorted, my cycles are regular, I ovulate on time.
My gynae who did the ectopic and lap is also a fertility specialist. I see him in March, perhaps I will ask him at that time.
DP went off the idea of a 3rd child due to the stress it has caused, I am really in last chance saloon this year.
I would not go down IVF route, I wondered if there was anythign else that can be done, happy to pay if we could afford it. people talk about Clomid etc I know sweet FA about it all really though....

Hi Piffle, I'd definitely advise seeing your GP. I was referred to an infertility consultant back in September after ttc no. 2 for 10 months with no success. The initial consultant's appointment only took 2 months to come through and I'm now in the middle of investigative tests. I'm 34 btw & this is on the NHS. Good luck, Iona x
