Nenehooo - fingers crossed that it will be 9 months then until the next time we see AF! Smile.
I have to confess I've already booked a GP appointment for next week (ie testing Sunday, so it will fall after that). I'm not superstitious, and it will either happen or it won't but I will need heparin whilst I'm pg and want to ensure I start taking it as soon as I can so as not to risk MC and for some reason I just never seem to get an appointment when I have to phone in at 8.30am...... If it's a negative result on Sunday, then I'll just cancel the appointment until next month. It might sound like overkill or being overly hopeful/counting eggs before they hatch, but it's more convenience at this point....Blush

Hello all and hello again nenehooo my 'brother from another mother' (well, sister really but you get the drift!).

We have been using CBFM for 2 cycles now. First cycle the wretched egg took us by surprise and we missed the boat so to speak - that was Dec. This cycle we were at it like rabbits!!! I've been feeling very unpregnant - have usual PMS symptoms only today had psychotic PMS symptoms. Peed on a test stick, in a bout of rage - and a very faint line appeared. I was sceptical but when I googled it apparently extreme PMS is quite a common symptom... So who knows...

It was a Superdrug test so it might be crap. I'll reserve judgement for now...

Congrats Carly - and good luck to everyone else!

notthehippopotamus · 24/01/2012 18:14

Wow! Look away for a day or two and what happens?! At least one BFP already, maybe two!! Congratulations Carly and Angelico - a line is a line isn't it? And I read on another thread someone recommending Superdrug tests as particularly good. Do hope it turns out to be right!

CD10 for me today and EWCM already. Sorry if that's TMI but am a bit excited as I don't normally get it this early. Now if I can just get these books marked... Grin

Angelico · 24/01/2012 18:45

Thanks hippo! And I just did another test after work, having not peed or drunk for hours and that was one definite line!!! Trying not to get too excited in case it turns out to be a chem pregnancy - it's very early (11 DPO).

That said, we did use CBFM, pre-seed AND I stuck my legs in the air like a dead budgie for 20 mins after the deed - so those swimmers had every possible advantage!!! Wink

alexeliza · 24/01/2012 20:43

Congratulations Angelico - sounds like it is definitely good news!!

I'll be testing on Sunday (provided I hold out and don't test beforehand). Keeping all fingers and toes crossed!

Best of luck for everyone else as well! x

notthehippopotamus · 24/01/2012 22:05

Yay! Well we will get excited for you Angelico :) And your dead budgie analogy has cheered me up after a dismal evening of marking and bad news. Well done to those swimmers!

Fingers crossed for you Alexeliza.

nenehooo · 24/01/2012 22:23

Oh WOW another one?! And for my twinny as well angelico?! Everything crossed for you... Apart from legs obviously Grin I can't see that i'm in with a chance this month, still no smiley on the clearblue sticks and today I feel fluey and generally yuk, so not optimum baby making conditions I think?! Ah well, DH has already started his "you only want my sperm" spiel... Knew it was coming, but it's still boring! And notthe you've made me remember the ginormous pile of marking i've got to do tomorrow... Sad not in class tho so might stand a chance against it!

Angelico · 27/01/2012 17:41

Lol Nenehooo my DH also enjoyed the whole 'oh I feel so used' etc etc line - we'll give them their five mins of fun, they'll be rubbing our backs and cutting our toenails in no time... :-D xo

nenehooo · 27/01/2012 19:38

Ha! They have NO idea, bless them! I've been using my womanly charms to their full extent... Even managed to seduce him last night in my germ ridden state after he had categorically refused to do the deed. Little did he know I'd POAS and got a smiley... (cue evil laugh)

notthehippopotamus · 28/01/2012 09:25

Good work nenehoo! We also managed to DTD yesterday - don't use opks but copious EWCM too good to waste. Fingers crossed this will be our lucky month!

nenehooo · 11/02/2012 08:40

Hi everyone, how's everything going? Any more news?
I'm currently CD33 and temps still up - longest cycle previously being 30 days, so I'm definitely late. Been really trying not to obsess, and thought I was doing really well waiting til today to test, especially as DH had convinced me to buy cheap tests from Wilkinsons last weekend... I tried to convince him I needed the single CB digital but he insisted on the cheapo 2 pack Hmm
Couldn't sleep all last night in anticipation, and finally had to get up at 7.30 to POAS. Told DH that I'd just done a test despite him getting in at 1.30, and he didn't complain, and then....
NOTHING. Stupid crappy Wilko cheapo test didn't work - no Control line NOTHING. Obviously it's DH's fault as I told him we needed a CB Angry
SO F*!@ed off - I just want to know and I've been so patient and good!!!!!!
I've warned him that I'm using the other crappy Wilko test later on and then going to buy a CB regardless.
Hope you guys are doing better than me at the end of your 2WW!!!

nenehooo · 11/02/2012 15:37

It's a BFP... good old Clearblue Grin Grin Grin Grin

Angelico · 11/02/2012 15:51

Twinnie! Hurrah for your BFP!!! Come join us on the due Oct 2012 thread!!! I'm already there but I'm keeping spaces for everyone! :o

notthehippopotamus · 14/02/2012 13:53

Congratulations nenehoo! Fab news Grin

I wish I was joining you all on the due Oct 2012 thread. I'd foolishly got my hopes up that this was our lucky month, especially after a little pinkish/brown spotting and cramping on one side, at 7dpo - decided thought perhaps it was implantation.

Unfortunately the spotting continued - for 7 whole days Hmm and then AF arrived in full force last weekend. Now to cap it all off I've got a horrid cold. So I don't know what the spotting was all about - never had a cycle like that before, but it's onwards to the next cycle for us.

Good luck to you all - fingers crossed for sticky beans, minimal morning sickness and lots of happy nesting! :)

nenehooo · 17/02/2012 21:18

Just dropping in to see if there's been any more news?
Thanks notthe sorry to hear AF got you... Fingers crossed for this month x

LydiaWickham · 18/02/2012 09:09

hiya, so I was on the WTTTC thread, and we stopped waiting at Christmas, however I'm still not pregnant. I am most annoyed about this, and think at this stage, I might need to put more effort in than "making sure we have sex lots on the week I'm ovulating" - any suggestions?

Angelico · 18/02/2012 09:34

Lydia we were using the clear blue fertility monitor which is good for pinpointing exactly when you ovulate - but in fairness one month isn't a long time to be trying so relaaaaaaaaaaaaax! lol Good luck! x

Angelico · 18/02/2012 09:36

Also if you look up above we used pre-seed lubricant which apparently replicates EWCM (I'm 34 and not as slippery as I used to be! :o). I also lay back afterwards and stuck legs in air - so those tadpoles had every headstart I could give them! :o

LydiaWickham · 18/02/2012 09:45

Thanks, although we started trying at Christmas, so it's 2 months (tested today, AF due wednesday, know I'm not pregnant though, odd but I knew with DS i was). Will try to pick up a fertility monitor today. Legs up in the air afterwards - well at least it'll provide some comedy for DH... Grin

Right, pick myself up, stop feeling sorry for myself, go buy blue cheese for lunch and tuna steaks for dinner, I'll have 9 months of craving them if I get pregnant next month, so time to make the most of it.
