May sound silly but can you keep exercising when TTC?

Read a few posts on here, ladies saying that they refrain from exercising during 2ww. Plus a friend of mine stopped coming to gym with me when she was ttc. ( didn't know at the time).
Is this right? If so what's the reasoning?
Does it effect the egg implanting?

I think you need to be sensible, completely over exerting yourself is not good for you but there's no reason to give up exercising completely. I've kept mine up but it's all pretty low impact apart from pole dancing which would Definately go at the sniff of a bfp as I could hurt myself/baby at just the wrong time. However, it's better to be fit and healthy than sit on the sofa all the time. So no, I don't think you need to give it up :)

Oh please! Yes keep exercising. That way when you do get pregnant you can keep exercising.
It's not a good idea to start doing strenuous exercise when pregnant e.g. starting to run because it causes extreme changes in body temperature.
I've been ttc for two years, if I'd stopped exercising I'd be like the backside of a house!

ps I've no idea if it can harm implantation but I very much doubt it. People do some crazy stuff through their whole pg. Trouble is there is so much conflicting stuff out there us TTC'ers dont know where to start

There's really no need to give up exercising when ttc. There is a runners thread on the pregnancy board and two of my friends kept running up until 5 months+.

I was exercising a lot when I got pregnant. I was on a weightloss kick in preparation for a holiday and had increased my exercise regime dramatically. I was in the gym at least 5 days a week for 90 minutes at a time doing pretty intense cardio and weights.

I'm 9 weeks now and constantly knackered but still going to the gym when I can summon the energy. Obviously, I've dropped the intensity of what I'm doing but I want to stay as fit as possible.
