i would like to start charting my temperature as we would are ttc. Im starting to wonder if there are any eggs in there!! what is the best type, is charting straightforward? can i buy the "right" thermometer on-line? have just seen one on ebay but not sure if i should buy from them. What has anyone used in the past and where did you get it? Thanks very much for any advice - all will be gratefully recieved.

I used this one (obv dont really need the book or anything but dh picked it up for me) but to be honest I used it for 6 months without being one hundred percent about the temp rises and finally gave in and bought an ov predictor kit and conceived the next month!

I have a simple digital thermometer from family planning nurse but a normal one from Boots (8.99) would be fine.
It should give you four numbers Eg.36.12C but I was told to only take notice of the first three. Not to bother rounding up the numbers. I wouldn?t waste money on buying a special fertility one.
This website can give you great advice about temping
trythis
If this doesn?t work the website www.fertilityuk.org

Pussycatmomma - I agree with Peachy (have posted on other thread!)

I bought the boots one for £8.99. I also saw a very similar thermometer (i.e. 3 digits and can be used afterwards as an 'illness' thermometer) in poundland for.......that's right you've guessed it a POUND!

You can buy a fertility thermometer from access diagnostics - www.earlypregnancy.co.uk, and if you use the discount code xmas5% you'll get 5% off your order as well

I and a lot of the other ladies here use Fertility Friend - www.fertilityfriend.com for tracking our temps - their FAQ section is a very good introduction to temping, and it's really easy to enter your data onto their charting software. You don't need to pay for their service, but if you do pay you get some extra diagnostic information about your cycle and access to the forums.

Hugs,
Artoo.
