is that a GP Van? I did have to be re-referred last year & it was the second consultant that gave me the Met - the first wouldn't hear of it! For a condition that Dr can't and hardly recognise you think they'd be more supportive in helping when they do!!!

hi fairy tyhe gp, hospital registrar and consultant all dnt want to prescribe it. i really appreciate your input though. i think it depends on diff doctors but so far all of them are like a brick wall

Yeah like I said, I was re-referred! The funny thing is I was re-referred to the same climic, same hospital, different consultant! We all get so many different types of advice & care, which is rediculous as we live in a relatively small country but changes from Trust to trust!

i think next time i go i will ask for the new guidelines as i have been searching for them on the internet and havent come across them as yet. the doctors have been very good so far with the investigations as we are TTC but its the complete aversion to metformin i dnt understand bcz as i have told them so many times the only time i had normal cycles and weight was when i was on metformin

Can i just ask how did you find your weight loss when you started on metf?? And how regular were your cycles once they were regulated??
Despite eating healthy, taking up running, and zumba i cant shift the weight :( and last cycles have been 43 days 45 days and currently on 52 days!!!

Mine's been slow but is coming off. But with exercise it's coming off too! My cycles went from 40+ down to 30ish!

Oooooooh great news!!
Im hoping i anything my periods become more regular, hate getting bloaty and period cramps but then absolutley nothing :(
If not ttc at the minute, what would the options be for me? I cant go on mini pill because of headaches, but last pill i was on cerazette made my bleeding all over place. Is there any other pill out there does anyone know that would enable me to keep my periods regulated but obv prevent pregnancy at the minute?
Thanks again
