I had a baby 3 months ago. My period has not returned and I do not breastfeed. I got a prescription for the pill and started taking them over a week ago. My husband and I planned to abstain until 7 days had passed but the first night I started to take the pill we started to have sex. We used a condom because the pill doesn't protect for the first 7 days, however it came off, this was thankfully before he came though and we realised.

A few days after that I had some cervical mucas which I'm haoping was nothing to do with ovulation. I won't know though will I as I had already started the pill? So would not bleed anyway?

I only worry because a friend got pregnant last year when her daughter wwas 4 weeks old and she had 2 children under 1!

It is unlikely though in these circumstances surely?

Lots of people have dcs a year apart. It's not that unlikely - especially if you aren't breastfeeding. It's too late for emergency contraception now so you better just cross your fingers. I would suggest doing a pregnancy test in 4 weeks just to be sure you aren't pg.

Well I would say it was more unlikely, seeing as he hadn't ejaculated yet. And you had the unusual cervical mucous a few days later, so ovulation wouldn't happen until a day or more after that, (if that was what the CM was). So if there was sperm in there, it would have to live to the maximum five days.

Not sure if what I say helps, but try not to let it eat away at you until you can find out for sure.
