Hello

Had the procedure in Feb. Have had 2 proper cycles (with ovulation according to my CB monitor), but had an ultrasound last night, as have had mid cycle bleeding, and they said that pregnancy products still there.

I will now be reffered to a Gynocologist, but not sure how long that will take and don't know what they will now do. Has this happend to anyone else and if yes, what happened with you?

Thanks

Yes, I had a similar experience twice. The second time was sort of my fault as I'd decided to be brave and have it done under local rather than general and then had to ask her to stop as it was too painful and upsetting.
The first time, when I think there was a more significant amount of tissue remaining, I was given really strong antibiotics to try and get my body to pass the "products" naturally and then called back for a scan 2 weeks later when they admitted me on the spot for a second ERPC when they found I still hadn't passed all of it. The second time it happened naturally within a few days of the original ERPC but there wasn't much to come out so it was easier.

Sorry this has happened to you. It's so frustrating, especially if you want to start TTC again. I'm surprised you've been referred to a gynaecologist, they should be doing something more immediate I would have thought.

I guess its because I haven't had that much mid cycle bleeding, just smears, so no immediate threat.

I have had this but was apparent for me within two days of first erpc and I was admitted with severe pain and very heavy bleeding, that was a Sunday and I was booked in for another erpc the next day in main theatres not day surgery as I was an inpatient by then. It was perhaps treated so urgently as I'd already been in before the first erpc to be on an antibiotic dip for an infection of the womb caused by the mc.

I agree with Havingkittens I think they should be treating it as much more urgent than they are. Can you go see your GP today and ask him for an immediate referral, will mean him ringing local gynae and you going in via A&E and the waiting around that entails.

I wouldn't have known I had an infection if I hadn't happened to visit GP and he noticed how hot I was as he checked my tummy. I had no pain, no discharge other than light bleeding, was waiting for natural mc to happen. It isn't worth the risk to your long term fertility to sit around waiting IMO.
