Welcome back dachs - it's amazing how much our need to have a baby can override the pain of loss. Hope your cycles return to normal soon.

Dachs You are an incredibly strong lady. You will have a baby and you are in very good hands at the clinic. I am praying for some happy news for you in August xx

Digi I saw your news too and I'm really sorry. So hard knowing the sex too. I hope your reiki lady was right and your next pg is a happy, healthy one.

Freezingmyarseoff · 17/06/2011 08:26

Yes, thinking of you battery & mr battery x.

Ladybee · 17/06/2011 11:52

battery I was so sorry to read your news, so so very unfair. I think you were injecting this time, weren't you? Do check whether you need to continue after the ERPC or not, there was confusion about that with my HCPs but in end they did say I should have continued for 6 weeks post ERPC. I didn't as I'd stopped for 2 weeks before they said that but still...
I hope you and mr battery can be together and give each other the support you need. You have my sympathy.

dachs that's a hugely brave decision. I hope the clinic will give you all the extra support that will be needed as you go into it. Can't help but hope it works straight away for you.

tiggersreturn · 17/06/2011 12:28

battery I'm really sorry to hear your news and at 12 weeks as well.

Dachs did the clinic think the loss of Alexander and Felicia was due to IVF or to some other factor? I still think you're immensely brave to consider doing it again however you choose to do it. And enjoy Italy!!!

BBB very relieved to see you're still hanging in. Maybe we'll bump into each other at st mary's one day and have no idea that we "know" each other Grin. I'm with the green team (consultants)

batteryhen · 17/06/2011 13:43

Hello all, This is Mr Cockerel reporting from the newsdesk that is the hospital. Battery hen is coping admirably considering. We are currently waiting for Battery to be called forward and we've only had to wait 6 hours so far. The nurse did a grand job inserting needle for IV, and bed space looked like a scene from hammer house of horrors for a short period but, she finally found a vein and managed to keep the needle there. Battery and I thank you for all your support.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 17/06/2011 14:26

Back home to rain and wifi Grin!

Thinking of you today battery x

Nice to hear from you dachs, I hope your first cycle is successful. Have you had any counselling or discussions regarding any plans should you get pregnant to minimise the risks of another late mc?

How are your 2wws going stitch and loup?

Any news falcon?

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 17/06/2011 14:58

tigger it was just bad luck, apparently. Premature rupture of membranes is more common in twin pg, and I was just unlucky. Again :(

Tina if I get pg again I'll be having a cervical stitch at 14 weeks and careful monitoring. So hopefully it won't happen again.

I just really hope I get pg again. It was so hard to get pg in the first place and I still have nothing. But at least I know ivf can work for me, because I did manage to get pg, so I'm hoping it will happen again.

digitalgirl · 17/06/2011 15:14

Thanks for the update MrCockerel - hope you and battery are taking good care of each other. Don't forget to remind the consulting surgeon when he does his rounds that he'll need to send tissue samples for karyotyping (chromosome testing). Just helps to give them a nudge when they're massively busy.
Glad she's got you to wait with her.

tiggersreturn · 17/06/2011 15:31

Dachs I really feel for you. I know how awful it is when they tell you something just happens. It's much easier if you can rationalise it and then you feel there's something you can do to prevent it occurring again.

Cervical stitch sounds a very good idea though.

Freezingmyarseoff · 17/06/2011 19:46

Another thanks to Mr Cockeral for the update. I'm full of admiration that you can still keep a sense of humour on horrible occasions like this. Hope it has gone well in the end. So sorry for you both.

Dachs of course we have room for you. Welcome (back).

Teaspoon it's always a bit rubbish to come home to rain. And today is just a rubbish day, it feels so gloomy and cold and unsummery.

I'm feeling rather bad, I HAD to eat some of DD's treats which is a bit naughty since I shouldn't really eat milk or chocolate and they were milk chocolate. Blush
I also got my "12 week" scan date through, but according to my dates it will be 13+3 - I suppose that's not too late? Anyone know what the latest it can be to do a nuchal fold measurement?

MissTinaTeaspoon · 17/06/2011 20:24

battery I hope you are home and managing to rest x

dachs how many cycles did you have before the twins? It sounds as though you are getting good care from your clinic.

freezing I didn't have a dating scan with dd until 15 weeks so you should be fine, I'm not sure about nuchal measurements though because we don't get them here (stupid postcode lottery Angry)

MummyAbroad · 17/06/2011 20:27

battery and Mr Cockrel so sorry you have been kept waiting. Big squeeze for you, hope its over soon, and you can get home and rest. xxx

Freezing they can do the measurement anytime between 11weeks+0days and 13weeks+6days, have a look here www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/scans/nuchalscan/

I missed the window with DS and ended up getting a risk status on bloods alone, which came out high and so I had amniocentisis, all very worrying and scary, much better if you can get scan done at right time and avoid all that.

AandRMum · 17/06/2011 20:47

Oh battery how horrible to have to go through this again. You must be feeling a bit numb. Big hugs and hope you aren't feeling too much like a pin cushion - I always end up with 5000 jabs before they hit a vein. I have had so many needles shoved in me now I am very tempted to grab it off them and do it myself! Waves to MrCockrel

Dachs you are one determined woman and that baby is coming your way. I can never decide whether the 'one of those things' results makes me feel better or worse. My DMum read an article yesterday in an Australian newspaper and basically it said in the vast majority of cases there is no underlying reason and on the whole we all end up going on to have a straight forward pregnancy - wouldn't that be just wonderful. Oh and Italy - how lovely!

freezing it is worth calling up and seeing whether they can bring the scan forward a bit just so you don't feel like you are up against a time constraint.

MummyAbroad · 17/06/2011 21:00

sorry freezing didnt link it right first time
