i feel like this is a silly question as i'm def not PG but am about to ovulate. can't help feeling that this egg mightve got poached Grin

excuse my probably irrational worries, but does anyone know if the xray is a reason to postpone TTC?

It's only if you're actually pregnant there's a risk. Best to tell them you're ttc if you're in the tww but your little egg should be fine!

They should ask you if you could be PG before they take the XR. IRMER regs and all.

Realistically the dose from a single dental film is very unlikely to cause any problem even if you were already PG but didn't know yet, and they usually give you a lead drape over your torso anyway (at least my dentist always does)

Lead aprons went out of favour some years ago so I would quiz your dentist on this! The idea being that they trap the radiation in your body by reflecting it around rather than let it leave.

I asked my dentist about something unrelated (could I have my tooth extracted if I pregnant) she confirmed that I could and also went onto say that even x-rays can be carried out while pregnant. However I would always tell the dentist that I was preggers before having any work at all done.
