hi,i have done 2 tests and both came up with lines second one stronger than first,i took them along to the chemist and and they said it looked as if iam pregnant,then after this on the same day i took 2 clearblue digatil ones and both came up (not pregnant)now iam very confused i really want a bfp and was really happy when i saw two lines
has this happend to anyone?,please tell me what you think

I think you should stop spending so much money on pg tests.
Wait a few days and test again. fwiw, I doubt very much that the clearblue are right, you can get false negatives but no false positives I think

Hi Gina how many days past ovulation are you? CB digitals are not as sensitive as some other tests so it takes them longer to pick up on a positive.

hi thanks for your posts,my last af was the 8 weeks ago,i have pcos so not sure how far iam past ov.i did have a test on the 8th feb to see if my tubes were blocked doctor thought my tubes were going into spasams while doing the test so have to do it all again.
my first 2tests with the lines my dh and three people at the chemist saw them so i know i couldn't have made it up in my head.
i will be going into the doctors on monday to see but just hoping i could get some info cause the wait is driving me nuts xx

Hi, if you're not sure when you ovulated then I'd say it could well still be good news - as BBG said, I think false negatives are way more common than false positives.

The Drs test will be the best though, fingers crossed Grin

what booboo said. you are pg. false positives are extremely rare (unless you are taking hormone supplements) you are pg. stop testing!

I had a false negative with a clear blue digital - two first responses said I was pregnant, the clear blue said not. Like gardenpixie said, they're obviously not as sensitive.

hi girls thanks for replying i know i should stop but guess what i went back to tesco tonight and bought more of there own make and did a 3rd one and came back BFP arhhhhhhhhhhhh scared of getting excited it took 4 years and 4m/c for my ds now 4 and now it has taken over 3 years, being told i have pcos and having my tubes tested to finnaly see a bit of hope xx

3 x BFP must be right! Honestly, the digi tests aren't that sensitive at all ... i can't remember exactly what level of hcg they pick up but I think some of the non digi ones are almost 5 times more sensitive. Hurray for you and your mini Gina! Grin

well just did an other 3 today and all 3 came up a faint positive,
i know one test was 25 mlu so i really must be :o xxx

right just back from doctor's and she did 2 tests both positive,but faint
so she took a blood sample just to make sure so should get results back tomorrow,so once they come back positive then i will let myself beleive it.
i know i must sound daft but it feels so unreal i don't even have any symtoms which is scarry xx

You don't sound daft at all! It could just be that you've picked it up really early hence the lines being faint.

Congrats Gina will have to let us know what docs said sounds positive.
I also have pcos and been ttc ds 2 for 19 months now been on clomid for 2 months i'd prob be the same as you.

hi emma,
i have been trying for 3 years for this one.i started going to the fertility clinic in october thats when i got told i have pcos but i already thought that i had that i went to doctors and asked if i could be tested before they did blood tests and said that the results was i didn't have pcos.the doctor at the clinic told me that she would not give me clomid as my bmi was to high she said she would only give it to me if it was 30 my bmi is 31.6 which i thought very unfair.on the 8th of feb i had the new test for testing my tubes i was in agony but doctor said my tubes looked blocked that there was no fluid going up at all but she said it could have been my tubes going in to spasms.i really thought that was it i was never going to get baby#2.and just went on to plan my wedding which is in auguast lol.i have already picked my dress which if everything go's ok means a new dress.

sorry for going on what iam trying to say is dont lose hope and i really hope you get that bfp xx

Thanks for your reply i am aslso getting married this year and bought my dress (size 6) i bought one with a lace up back just in case i feel pregnant.

My blood results also showed i never had pcos but scans did.

I wont give up hope xx

results was not back!!!!!............told to call tomorrow afternoon
